What is Slithis?
Slithis is a mamal resembling a mixture of ferret, bunny, and canine...with a mixture of snake. He belongs to the family of creatures called Zorgoia, a magical being known for its exotic body and nack for magic, and hunger. Slithis stands about 6 feet tall and his tail is about 2 1/2 feet long...he does have a feral form, standing about 7 feet tall and about 12 feet in length head to tail...Zorgoia are big creatures, and why he tends to be anthro...trying to fit in. His fur is mostly white except his black stripes and tail tip.

What exactly is a Zorgoia
As mentioned above Zorgoia are a furry creature...but what really makes them unique is their bodies. A zorgoia's spine is very flexible allowing them to coil about objects and other creatures alot like snakes. Another snake like feature is their maw, the maw fully opened up can reach a almost 90 degree arch and their body is very stretchy allowing them to eat creatures about their same size easly. One of their most unique body parts is their tail, it hides a small barb that can inject a venom that paralyzes their victim for a short while allowing a easy prey to devour or a chance to escape if needed.

And then there is their stomach, the largest organ in their body...not surprisingly, the stomach's acids are completely painless and numbing...melting down the prey into a soup leaving nothing left inside meaning no need to expell any body waste as every thing is absorbed into the body for nutrients or refueling the venom sack.

Technically all Zorgoia are genderless, being magical they dont reproduce like normal, but "males" and "females" exist. The difference is their tongues and back legs, female Zorgoia have forked tongues and a single claw on both back legs ala Raptors.



Reader's digest (heh) version of Slithis's early life

Slithis was born with his parents on a distant planet, among his kind.  At a early age he found he had a knack of earth magic, but not in the normal sense...more restoration magic...like being able to restore life to plants and healing the sick or injured.  Once he found out his magic, he started helping other Zorgoia and other creatures who needing healing...it was a good paying job (mostly with food as payment, along with gold *chuckles*)

Years went by until he was about the equalavent of a teenager in Zorgoia years, when he caught the eye of a visiting race of anthro felines.  They were impressed with his magic and offered him a position in their army as a medic.  The catch, is he would be paired with another field medic...acting as a assitant and mount so to speak.  At first the two would but heads, but eventually they became close and unseperatble.  Slithis would give his all to protect his beloved rider and might even say mate.  That was until one horrible day that Slithis wished he could rewrite....

It was like any normal day during the war, the two were sent out to retriveve the wounded and heal those who could still fight.  Nothing out of the normal, that was until something out of the corner of Slithis's eyes caught his interest...it looked like a arrow streaming past him, going right for his rider.   Slithis tried to warn her of the arrow but it was too late. The arrow struck her right in the heart piercing right through.  Slithis looked in horror as the one he swore to protect was struck by a arrow, infront of his own eyes.  The Zorgoia quickly ran over as she collapsed, scooping her up as he tried his best to keep her stable using his magic as he quickly rushed her back to base, tears running down his eyes as she cried out in pain.  "Don't die on me!" He cried out as her paw brushes against his soft cheek "thank you Slithis...for all you have done for me, I am glad we could of met" she says weakly as her arm goes limp.  Slithis would wimper as he shook his head "n...no...no...this cant be happening!" He says closing his eyes now holding the lifeless body of someone he care soo deeply about...

A thing about Zorgoia one should know, is their ability to capture souls, either releasing them to reform, letting the soul move on to the after life...or keep it.  Slithis not wanting to say goodbye to the one he care about, kept a small fraction of her  soul in a gem...her memory of Slithis...so sadly even if they met up in the afterlife she wouldnt remember him...which he is fine with, he felt it was his fault that she died.  Her soulgem is placed in a necklace that is around his neck at all time, right next to his heart...

This backstory isnt complete yet...just wanted to add some

Personality
Slithis can be described as a out going individual, loving the outdoors, making new friends, and eating out...mostly friends or strangers thou he does enjoy fine meals too. Slithis tends to explore the various places in the town looking for anything odd or magical...ot both as he runs a shop selling potions and magical trinkets for all sorts of uses...if you spot him out in the wil
d he is most likely willing to talk, maybe spend some time with you...chat about the weather and what not...

Magic
The main part of any Zorgoia is their knowledge of magic and using it. Zorgoia use their own strength to cast magic, thus needing to replenish it with eating or sleeping...some of the magic that Slithis uses includes: Shrinking, transformation (himself or others), and healing

One other feature about the Zorgoia, is they can reform their prey...only extracting their nutrients for food, keeping their soul intact...infact you can even see a Zorgoia's soul/aurora when you are about to be swallowed down, the glow you see in a Zorgoia is their aurora...each Zorgoia has a different color, Slithis's being light blue.

(Note, I know not everyone likes reformation in their rps, this is optional for people who like it)

Another idea I was playing around with is...well Slithis maybe craving a bit of blood and becoming a vampire...or even magic based vampirism...or soul where he drains your soul throu his fangs
