Slips

Slips was always an overachiever, always striving for the best, but as a frog, he was afraid he'd never amount to anything... until he found himself on a certain ship... The people on board were a very scruffy group, and he could barely maintain himself without wetting his pants. The captain on board confronted him, and it looked like he'd have to get new pants. Luckily, no one seemed to recognize, and everything the captain said was just a blur of speech; he signed up to join the pirates almost without realizing it. They gave him an extra cutlass and Flintlock, and the rest was history.

Nowadays, he has climbed his way up the pirate ladder, and become the captain of his own ship. He lost an eye and a hand, but those things are easily hidden or replaceable when on a ship, and he looks every bit a pirate as his shipmates.

He recently sailed into the port near the park and often takes leave there.

Clothes: pair of pants and a red jacket. no shirt. Wears a captain's hat over a red striped bandana. No shoes either. Has a hook for a hand, which is interchangeable. Also has eyepatch over right eye.
Clothing update: since being eaten by GaleTempest, Slips has lost his striped bandana and now has a pure red one.

Weapons:
Well-worn cutlass
His very first sword, he was never able to replace it with a better one, and is better with a gun, anyway.

However, he has been able to replace the flintlock he started with. Is an excellent shot.

Old flintlock
Just because he replaced it doesn't mean he got rid of it. Will barely shoot now, but keeps it for nostalgic value.

His pirate crew is a noble one; they only steal on the high seas. When in port, Slips has a rule: "Pay fer yer goods and services durin' Shore Leave, or ye'll answer ta me!" Also, if any crew member breaks this rule, the person(s) stolen from will also get an apology and reimbursement from Slips himself, as well as the return of any stolen goods.

Honorary/notable Pirates in Slips's crew:
Beard: An Anthro male red fox with the eponymous facial hair down to the bottom of his chest. Is the designated fighter in any type of fight, and likes to drink himself under the table during shore leave. Memorable quote from Beard: "Waitress! Gimme another one! I was onny out fer two hours.....!"

Flora: An Anthro female green lizard. (unspecified species) The "Number Two" on the deck, and romantic interest to Slips. Luckily, she likes him, too. Flora likes to do most of the restocking during shore leave.
