Backstory

It seems as technology grows through the ages humanity slowly begins to lose its connection to its spiritual roots and beginnings. It was not so long ago that numerous orders of structure and righteous protection were free to openly patrol and guard the innocent from forces that wished to corrupt, harm, and otherwise undo the realm of humanity, but as the years passed said capabilities became harder and harder to fulfill. The duties of those charged in protecting humanity from forces which it progressively became more ignorant of was truly a difficult and arduous task as time progressed. Often times acts of protection started to be met with fear, hostility, and panic from the general masses, and said protectors labeled as dangerous and to be feared. Enter the modern age, and practically all forms of protective orders have vanished from existence save for a scattered few.

One such order is the Order of the Silver Cross; an order among the first that rose up to shield the innocent and among the few still standing today. Those who serve within the order of the silver cross enact their duties quite differently from the olden days with the chief aspect they practice is to be stealthy in their duties. Needless to say this creates some difficulties, but the Silver Cross has become quite adept at working in the shadows and in the background. The main reason for this is the fact that the order has completely changed their ranks of paladins, protectors, and healers to work and function efficiently and covertly while drawing as little attention to their actions as possible. Equipment that is used is a mixture of ancient and modern with swords and seals combining with guns and computers to create a surprisingly deadly arsenal to combat the enemies of the order and humanity. Exactly what said forces are are actually a tad vague since the order doesn't solely target 'unholy' entities. anything that poses a threat to the safety of humanity is a target and sometimes that includes other humans and world leaders as well as holy souls such as priests, bishops, popes, angels, and even archangels. Corruption does not discriminate, and all are weak to its touch. Needless to say, the Order is well equipped with deadly warriors and adept healers and specialists. While they may not be able to march in broad daylight smiting those who would do harm, their duties are not left undone, and humanity's safety will continue to be the order's purpose.

Enter Alice Grimoa here who was once a young orphaned girl raised in a church. Alice was gently raised by the nuns who lived in it. They taught her various ways of warding off demonic forces. Before a strange event happened...the church she called home was attacked by monsters...strange monsters not of demonic taint...her family was taken from her...digested away into nothing leaving her alone and scared as one approached her...she was sure she would've joined the fate of her new family...only for a passing by Paladin of the Order of the Silver Cross arrived on the scene and slayed the monsters...saving her life.

Being the only survivor of the unknown attack. Alice had nowhere to go once more...alone again. After witnessing such skill in fighting off these monsters. Before the Order member left. Alice downright begged to join and learn how to protect herself and others from such dangers. Surprisingly the Order member obliged with her plead and brought her into the order and her training begins.
