Siryn

Ever had to keep a secret from someone, but felt like spilling your heart out to them anyway? That burning urge to speak up, to say something, but unable to?
That is what Siryn feels every moment, of every day. Just a single word from her could have the potential to take down religions, societies, or even worlds!

She is not some sort of super-deity or ancient being of unfathomable power, though she is a victim of blessing. She heralds a rather typical lifestyle, hardly different than anyone elses. She graduated high school and recieved an associates degree, handled a job for a few years.. And then had what always happens when you try to plan your life. Something unplanned occurred. Now, for nearly all of her life, Siryn had known various beings of extraordinary heritage and design. As a child, she lived a few doors down from a family of Otter anthromorphs, at her grade school was a towering exchange student from an Amazon tribe. The most important of these expected souls in this strange universe, was a deity. Strongly befriended late in high school and throughout college, the two had their natural departures as they had to take their separate ways.

Fast-forward to a couple years after college, when Siryn gets a call of assistance from her old college buddy. Through a set of circumstances, a favor was rendered onto Siryn for her aid. Despite the source, it was just a fair share of common curtisy and friendship that went terribly awry.

Siryn had wanted to work her way up through the ranks of her job and become an anchorwoman to local television, and if things could pan out years down the line, one for the nation on a major network! She asked for a voice that people would listen to, that people wouldn't ignore or shun away as being biased. Her divine friend abided to the wish without hesitation or thought, and Siryn lost her voice on that day.

Now, that might be a misrepresentation of what is actually happening with Siryn. She could speak at any time she wished. The problem is that her request gave her the voice of persuasion and obedience. Be it a small animal like a mouse, or the outrageously powerful, divine friend that gave her the gift. Any time Siryn speaks, everyone stops to listen, everyone obeys. And it is for that reason she cannot speak, that she mustn't utter even a single word, or the world would fall silent to heed her every word that followed.

And to answer why she hasn't requested it taken away? Well... She enjoys it. The constant struggle to be a moral and good person against the ability to have and get everything you want with just a request!
