Sillis

Sillis is a princess, and like all princesses, she has no concept of those in less royal standing. The common folk's role in life is to obey her whims, to serve her without question, and to be paid markedly little for it. Why should they need wealth when they don't know how to use it? Sillis is intelligent in that book-worm sort of way - she's gone to many schools and is capable of magic, though her studies as a mage are often shirked for her duties of being pampered. Feeling invincible, she often embarks on journeys she's ill-equipped to take, especially if the smell of a potentially desireable suitor is wafting towards her palace. Her intelligence has not imbued her with a sense of common sense or empathy, however. The world is her oyster, and she abuses this principle.

Her haughtiness may catch up with her - if she hires some bodyguard and they're alone somewhere...well, when you're alone, nobody hears you scream.

Perhaps the allure of a potential suitor ends up being a trap for some conniving beast, and she ignores the obvious signs by the call of gold and fortune.

Or, she simply elects to take a dangerous route that proves more capable than she.
