Shuri is the oldest sister and daughter of the Empress of Odawari, however even though she is the oldest one of the three sisters she gave away her heir as the Empress to the second sister instead. She didn't want to be trapped in the throneroom and doing all kinds of boring things, instead she wanted to continue fighting at the battlefront with her two Nodachi, she is more of a warrior than a nation leader, she is fine with staying as a General in the Imperial Army. Ever since she was at a young age she has been fascinated by swords and battle, she spent lots of her time as a child training with wooden swords or even just simple sticks to perfection her battle stance, as she got older she of course also got better in her fighting, joining the army even with her mother telling her not to she ranked up like every other normal soldier, she hid the fact she was a part of the royal family, at least until she had achieved one of the highest rank, her current rank of General.
She spends lots of time travelling to other nations, talking with generals of other armies and some of the times she ends up fighting them instead because of her rather straightforward way of talking to others, especially when she ends up accidentally insulting the leaders of another nation, she has gotten scolded by her younger sister, the Empress, several times because of this and the sister has always been the one who had to fix the problem. Even though these things does happen she is one of the best Generals the Odawari Imperial Army has ever had.
