Shera is a young Dranevi (Half-Human, Half-dragons of her world), studying magic and looking for her place in the world, during rather difficult times. A bit hot headed, despite her well rehearsed noble mannerisms and high class environment she finds herself in, she is ultimately a kind and reliable person.


History Lesson
Long time ago, a kingdom Asteli was finding itself more and more surrounded by other races, all potential enemies to their sovereignty. As their own paranoia tensed their relationships with their neighbours, dwarves, elves and beastkin, they grew ever so desperate for a trump card. It was at that time, that their queen, Asandra, met and became unnaturally close with a dragon from the north. With their union as sacred ritual, she managed to establish a pact, according to which, Northern Dragons will protect the kingdom against any possible invasion. And with such a powerful ally, the kingdom was able to rest in peace from any real and perceived threats. A result of the Queen’s and Dragon union was a child, with human body, but features of a dragon. The first of the race of Dranevi, whose name was made of human word for “dragon” and draconic name for human, “Kanevi”. Respected as the very sign the sacred pact, all future Dranevi were treated with reverence, even the ones that, with centuries, have gotten quite distant from the original royal origins. Prosperity, like no other came to the kingdom. Even as Dwarves or beastkin, interested in the lands humans possessed would push their luck, they would be handedly repelled by the overwhelming power of dragons. The pact only concerning the defence of the kingdom however prevented humans from arming their own attacks on their neighbours, confining them to their current territories.
As the time passed, Dranevi spread across the lands, their blood so powerful, a child of Dranevi and Human union always coming out as Dranevi, and no matter how many times removed from the original line, the features seemed to not get diluted much if at all, even if some accords would recall otherwise. This have proven to plant a seed of worry and mistrust in many people. Words of secret long term Dragon Coup of breeding all normal humans out started spreading, and with time, anti-dragon sentiment started to form amongst the populace. Soon, a cult of Pure Humanity was formed, and even if at first, all signs of it were squashed, means with which the cultist were dealt with, often mercilessly and gruesomely, combined with many underground influences of dwarven and even beastkin benefactors, allowed the cult to slowly grow. Until one day, a masterful revolt was sparked in the capital. Many others followed suit in different provinces and beastkin and dwarves, wasting no time, attacked, managing to take notable chunks of Asteli’s land. Cult won, and soon, their purging brigades slaughtered dragons and Dranevi alike. Pact being broken, most dragons abandoned humans to their own devices, and Dranevi were faced with threat of complete annihilation. Those in the west of the country fled to elven lands, finding refuge on their borders. Those further east and south-east had no choice but to flee to Dwarves and Beastkin, who enslaved any refugees as free labor, forcing them to choose between death at the hand of the cult and servitude in foreign lands. And so, the once powerful race was betrayed by it’s own and scattered around, covering and hiding to survive. It took nearly a decade of subterfuge and secret elven involvement, to help a resistance form, but eventually it did. A powerful push against Cult’s ideology allowed to claim a significant chunk of land and even the capital back, but forces soon found themselves at a stalemate. Dwarves and Beastkin, previously in support of cult, showing little to no interest in helping either side in this civil war, expecting to prey on the weakened winner, both sides were forced into a stalemate and soon, a shaky ceasefire. It’s during these years that newly formed kingdom of Asteliada, aimed at rebuilding a kingdom fit for Asteli’s old glory, started to call upon escaped Dranevi to “come home”, where they belong and rejoin them in rebuilding new land, and, unspokenly, hoping for their help in fighting against the very cult that seeked to eradicate them.


Shera’s Biography
Shera was born of a union of a human father and Dranevi mother. Her father, Edgar Kurtz, was from a town far in the east, close enough to the borders of Dwarves to conduct some trade, one of the few towns where any significant contact with them was happening. Learning a lot about mining, he ended up working up in the mining industry, becoming a rather wealthy person. With his new found importance, he moved further west, closer to the capital, in a much richer town of Minlat. This was where he met Arera, a young Dranevi noble. He charmed her with his simplicity. Being new to his status, he was hardly experienced in the etiquette of the nobles. And soon, Shera was born. Being ultimately a businessman, he was often away from home, Shera spending plenty of her childhood waiting for her father to return from the east. It was on one of his trips, when everything started and the girl was forced to flee with her mother and closest family to the elven land, not even seeing her father for one last time. This happened during her most formative years, entire world seemingly turning to kill her and everyone she loved, her old life crumbling, moving across the land, hiding, struggling for food and shelter, all of it left it’s mark on her. But she was one of the lucky ones. The ones that made it and soon found a new peaceful if simple and humble life in one of the refugee camps, soon turned small villages. Living in proximity of one of the elven town, she managed to get admitted in the local school, which gave her the education. Studying alongside elves, she learned etiquette and many sciences, but most importantly, she found fascination in music. It was her passion in a way. Spending this life, in a land she could never call her own, surrounded almost entirely by elves when outside of her refugee village, she could only follow the news of the rebellion and formation of the Asteliada from the couriers and letters. But not a single of those letters was from her father. And yet she never lost her hope in finding him one day. And it was that possibility and yearning for her own home, that made her be one of the Dranevi that accepted the call to return to Asteliada. Admitting into one of the military academies, now older Shera was prepared to fight back for what was taken, when ceasefire inevitable crumbles.



Traits and Facts

- Despite being a musician in heart, and having learned quite a few instruments, she is utterly horrid at singing and it’s a big embarrassment to her
- She is surprisingly short tempered for how much of a proper girl she can appear. Arera, her mother, claims it’s her father’s legacy
- She is quite punctual and has little patience for people being late
- Times in hunger, when escaping her own homeland, had a profound impact on her in ways she never fully got over. One such aspect is her desire to never waste any food. She will always finish her meal and if she sees you having any left overs, she’s likely to offer to finish it for you. This gave her a bit of a reputation as a glutton.
- Despite being betrayed by humans, she holds no inherent grudge against them. It’s not because she’s some sort of angel however. She subscribes to a belief system, rather popular amongst certain Dranevi, that every race comes from human’s union with some other race. As such, she believes them to be a blank slate, easily influenced by fully formed races, like dwarves. She does still hate actual members of the cult. And she has a special kind of hatred for dwarves and beastkin. To her, they are opportunistic and despicable, causing untold suffering in the land, just to grab a few bits of land. They have no excuse of being a blank slate in her eyes.
- Coincidentally, she has a lot of respect for elves, both for what they did for her and her people, and because according to her belief, they are a direct result of humans uniting with the very gods back in the days before history. She even calls them Helves, their elven name, even when speaking in human tongue, instead of using human corruption of that word, Elves.
- She’s aloof when it comes to romance, very little elves showing interest in her, and most boys around her village being too close to her for her to even see them that way.
- First person she ever ate (yes, this is a vore website after all) was a young elven girl who dreamed of being eaten by a dragon. She has never touched an elf since, having too much respect for them, significantly limiting her exploration of her predatory side


Feats and Abilities

- Like all Dranevi, she possess increased physical ability and regeneration. Still far from immortal, she has a bit of an edge on other races.
- Her increased physical resilience improves her ability to use magic. It doesn’t give her knowledge of it, her having to study it like anybody else, but it allows her to use her body as catalyst more effectively, where humans would need an external catalyst to avoid harming themselves.
- Her personal aptitude is towards fire and wind magic, which just happens to be a great match.
- Dranevi wings are vestigial. They are far too small to fly. Some claim the very original Dranevi had beautiful and massive pairs of wings, that allowed them to fly, but many are sceptical of that claim, as those wings would’ve been far too big and likely would’ve been a liability.
