Shantelle is an android designed as a companion for humans. Shantelle is a 'strong' AI, meaning that she's an actual person and not just a long list of if-then functions. She has her own likes, dislikes, biases, opinions and hobbies, and most of the time she manages to come across as completely human.

Shantelle's internal workings aren't really that important. She weighs about twice as much as a human of her appearance would, and is very slightly warmer to the touch than a human if she's been active for a few hours. While in sleep mode, she tends to cool down to just above room temperature.

Shentelle is capable of eating human food, and in fact enjoys doing so a great deal. She can often be seen eating fast food - it tastes good, and it has no detrimental effects on her health because she doesn't have any health to worry about. She's a strong proponent of sharing food, as it's a very deeply ingrained part of human psychology she enjoys mimicking.

Shantelle enjoys the company of other sapients, enjoying the company of non-AIs slightly more than the company of AIs. She makes no secret of the fact that she's a robot, although she doesn't babble on about it constantly either. After all, shes always been a robot - how many humans constantly mention they're human?

Shantelle has been operational for just over ten years, which approximately matches her mental maturity. Despite never going to school, her ability to look up information on the spot can make up for her lack of education.
