Physical Qualities


Though capable of changing his size to an extent, Sydney tends to appear at an imposing eight feet in height. The big guy's a bit on the pudgy side however. Sydney bears a potbelly and a rather plump rear as a reminder of meals past. His long, smooth, black fur covers his entire form from head to tail tip. Speaking of his tail, Syd, like most binturongs, has a long one. Slender and prehensile, that tail served his ancestors in climbing but Sydney uses it more often for restraining meals. One of the bearcat's stranger features is his hair. While true hair on furs isn't uncommon, Syd's is odd in that it's the same colour as his fur. The long, dark locks are straight and measure about halfway down his back. This trait combined with the numerous silver rings he wears in his ears give Syd a bit of a feminine appearance.

Using his magic, Sydney is capable of changing himself into a taur. A quality of this form worth noting his unusual digestive system. He has two stomachs, one in his upper half and one in the lower half. The upper stomach serves mostly for churning and tenderizing meat. The lower stomach is more potent. Someone unfortunate enough to wind up there is broken down via digestive enzymes and acid before their nutrients are absorbed, letting it serve the function of both a stomach and small intestine. Due to this, Sydney lacks a true small intestine in this form and only has a large one leading from his lower stomach.

Personality

Despite his size, Sydney isn't exactly a tough guy. The bearcat is more of an intellectual than anything else and isn't afraid to flaunt his knowledge. He tends to be calm, collected, and a bit sadistic. He often toys with meals by leading them on and flirting only to chuckle to himself later when they're screaming for help from his belly. Despite this sadism, Syd does have a soft side and can be quite the snuggler if the mood strikes him... and if his companion lives long enough.

Abilities
Sydney is a shaman, a mage who specializes in natural forces. Drawing on his arcane power, Syd can create or manipulate natural forces such as fire, ice, wind, and poison. Recently he's begun to delve into darker aspects of the craft however. As a result, he's become something of a force of pestilence - able to summon plagues of insects, weave dark hexes and illusions to beguile and weaken his foes, throw bolts of poison and acid, and siphon energy from his enemies or the spirits and use it to heal himself or reanimate corpses.

Preferences

Syd absolutely LOVES reptiles. He finds them very attractive both as partners and as meals. Those smooth scales always go down easy after all.
