The soft jingling of chains is heard as this Taiyoukai walks by. Twin sickles gleaming brightly upon the chains that bring the tal male to attention. Metallic silver eyes shine as he looks towards a few small children at play, Only for the parents to usher them away quickly. He stops for only a moment to enjoy the sakura petals that fall around him before continuing on his way.

Wardrobe: Black Haori and Hakama, Decorated with designs of Blue Water Lilies on sleeves of Haori and on the Lapel. Obi: Dark Crimson with swirling designs of Silver.

Armor: White lacquered steel breastplate with twin chains looping from just below the shoulders down the front and under his arms, looping around behind and crossing before reattaching to the back. Ornate steel plate with upturned steel blades at both sides. Dual-layered pauldron crossing from right front, around to the back with a fine layer of chain mesh strung between the fragile seeming bands of hardened metal, the outermost being lined with similar spikes to those which adorn the front of the cuirass.
Weapons: Twin Sickles, attached to the chain links adorning the steel breastplate created from the claws of his father, Inu No Taishou, Due to him not wishing to go the path of the sword.

Twin Sickles: Like the Swords forged from the fangs of his father, The Sickles have unique attributes that enhance his battle techniques.

Yin: This Sickle, when used radiates a glowing blue energy, The aura, Similar to Tenseiga, is powerful and possesses the abilities to retrieve/defend the souls of those dead or in the process. Though capable of doing harm, its damage is reduced when fighting an opponent of Neutral or Good alignment or any Human and Increased when fighting Evil or Chaotic alignments. Also granted the ability to protect its wielder from most common attacks on its own, Its counterpart Yang is required to fully protect the user from more powerful attacks. This ability is only able to be engaged when the owner is on the brink of death, both weapons are present and only remains long enough for an escape attempt to be made. Though if used properly a slash of energy can be summoned forth to deflect an attack at the expense of depletion of the users energy supply.

Yang: The twin of the Sickle Yin, the weapon named Yang is comparable to the fang-sword Tetsuaiga in terms of destructive force, although not possessed of the raw power the sword itself possesses. Capable of unleashing a hellish blast of crimson energy, Yang thirsts to defeat enemies at all costs, the almost malevolent spirit of the weapon assumes control if the balance of Yin is not applied. Also capable of banishing spirits of the dead, both are required to access the higher abilities of the two combined weapons, although this sinister black steel weapon does not suffer from the conscious discrimination of enemies that Yin does, capable of destroying all with equal prejudice.

Personality: Shadow's personality varies from day to day, though an overall mood of Calmness is upheld. Not quite as stubborn and coldhearted as his younger sibling Sesshoumaru, Shadow can often be kind and even humorous, when he feels the will to do so. Distinctively bipolar, the general mood of contentment is not always apparent, sudden flashes of fury, hatred and sadism are common. Though rare, Shadow is plagued by depression though he will never admit it, his face never showing that emotion unless something extreme calls for it, the only sign often being a sadness in his eyes.

History: Shadow and his family were relatively close, With the exception of his father whom Shadow seemed to never get along with. Wanting the best for his son, Inu No Taishou often pressured Shadow with training of swordsmanship, Though Shadow never cared for the weapon or the art. However, not wishing to displease his father, Shadow would endure many days of straight training by his order whenever he failed to properly learn a technique or Kata. Finally, enough of Inu No Taishou's constant criticism pushed Shadow to the brink of rage when a teenager, taking off into the northern lands he was not to be heard of for a number of days. When he returned home, Shadow was no longer the same Inuyoukai, having been attacked while out in the other lands by a Kyuketsuki. He had been severely wounded, and though his attacker had been slain, a few drops of blood from the body found it's way into his own wounds, causing him to turn into a version of the beast itself. His colors and abilities inverted from before and personality altered, Shadow no longer seemed welcome in the household. Sesshoumaru being the only company he kept before and after the change, it was natural that they grew close with each other. Many years later, Shadow disappeared again only a few years before the incident with Ryukotsei and the wars of the panther Youkai, leaving the still growing Sesshoumaru to be faced with the downfall of their father and birth of their half-brother alone. Unknowing of the Hanyou's birth after his leaving, Shadow assumed Sesshoumaru as his only blood relative, It was not until his recent reappearance that Shadow learned of his half-brother Inuyasha and of the wars and battle that claimed the life of their father.


Disadvantages and Weaknesses:

Shadow, due to the changing of his blood by that of the Kyuketsuki, is required to drain the blood of a human or youkai at least every three days or he suffers severe sickness and starvation and will be forced into a state of chaos until the requirement is fulfilled. Shadow also seems to have phobias of Wasps and Hornets (Apiphobia), and of Being Forgotten (Athazagoraphobia) and will remain still in a state of terror though his features do not tell of this. Mentally, when faced by these fears, he attacks only when in extreme peril, afterwards needing to be alone and gather his wits.

Shadow LOATHES snow and bright sunlight, though neither of these elements do damage to him. He also has a secret weakness for children, not able to see them hurt or cry and will do anything in his power to prevent or solve the issue.

At Night:

As he ages more changes have been taking place due to his cursed blood. At night he becomes much more...horrifying. His eyes glow silver with no pupils, he seems almost in a trance when not in battle, but when in battle he becomes much more feral.

Its like hes not "home" mentally, more to be described later.

Wow, Congratulations for reading this far. Here's some bonus notes actually about Shadow for those of you who have taken the time to read this entire thing!

- "Shadow" is not actually his real name. It was given to him when he returned home the first time he left by his Father and Mother. Due to him being a "Shadow" of his former self and the differences in his color/personality, they found it more suiting.

- His actual name is Amidamaru Taishou. The name "Amida" actually is the name of the God of Death in Japanese. Hence why it is so fitting, his name roughly works out to "Death Blade" or "Death Perfection" I believe.He has never told anyone his true name, the only people that know it are Amatsu and Sesshoumaru. Though even Sesshoumaru has long since forgotten ( or so he lets on).
Also, Shadow will only tell his real name to those he trusts with all his heart and holds dear to him completely. Don't take offense if it's been years that you've known him and he hasn't told you, he's also waiting for the right time. This is something very special to him, and it should be something special to you as well if he ever tells you.

- Shadow is Bisexual. Strong Female preference. Though he isn't sure if this is because of his unstable mind (due to "the Incident") or if he's genuinely attracted to other males, Shadow could possibly fall in love with a man if he is given the right circumstances and interests.
