Seldria

History:

There are some races where a large population falls behind compared to others, where a new era begins yet others stay behind. Sometimes a few villages or clans decide to continue the culture of an obsolete time period, which might seem rather abnormal to anyone in a more modern setting. They aren't used to electricity, vehicles, magic, or any such trivial things, and manage to survive on the bare essentials alone. These more primitive cultures haven't all vanished though; some remain in lands far off, spreading their lineage from generation to generation. Despite these cultures being human in origin, a few of them have adapted to suit other sentient beings as well, who hoped to have similar success in their lives.

Some such cultures were based off the much more olden days, around Ancient Egypt, Rome, and Greece. Even if these cultures did advance with the rest of the world, there will always be a small part that refused to go further, rejecting advancement in technology and the new ways of life. One clan in particular stemmed off of Ancient Greece, once ruled by humans, and now controlled by mythical beasts of many variates. The ruler of said lost city is none other than Seldria, who became the leader due to her amazing combat prowess and dominating aura.

Seldria was born in a high class family, and was spoiled from childhood. Being of a wealthy family meant that anything she could want, she could get, and no one of a lower class would dare mess with her. On top of that, being a naga meant she was near the top of the food chain, as well as near the highest social class possible. While she knew how to, and was fully capable of hunting down her own meals, she eventually saw fit to order the lesser beings to either bring food to her, or become food themselves. The life of pseudo royalty did her well for a long time, while the power went to her head. Having lived in a section of the royal palace did mean she had servants everywhere which she could abuse to her own liking, which she took advantage of at every possible opportunity.

Around the age of fifteen, her and her brother Alcied had grown rather close to the royal family. Their parents had finally passed away, leaving them free to do as they wished, at least to an extent. When the time finally came when the king decided to elect an heir to the throne, Alcied was easily the first choice, having served the royal family for many years and showing a decent display of leadership. Overcome with jealousy and envy, Seldria fumed to herself for weeks on end, slowly despising her brother more and more for his fortune. Finally when she could take being second hand no longer, she sneaked into his chambers at night, quickly holding his sleeping body down before administering a deadly venom right into his bloodstream to help finish him off for good before slowly consuming any evidence that he had ever even existed. Having no other heirs to the throne, she eventually managed to take his place after explaining how his cowardice made him flee the city.

Once in power, the once spoiled naga had become hedonistic beyond belief, demanding all she could get away with from her now many followers. Once it became inherently obvious that she was unfit to rule the throne, her people began plotting against her, though any attempt they made to stop her ended poorly. Finally, a royal messenger attempted to drive her away with a new plan, of directing her elsewhere on a mission of diplomacy.She was tasked to go out to find a new area, and either make allegiances with it or mark it for destruction. After much convincing and promising rewards, she somewhat reluctantly accepted her mission and began her trek to explore new lands, seeking out a nw area to begin a new reign of dominance.





Seldria is a somewhat large naga somewhere in her early twenties, standing at around twenty two feet in length, with a five foot torso to add onto it. Her dark emerald scales always seem well kept, trying to give her more of a regal appearance than any street rats that would happen to approach her. Her skin tone is slightly darker than hat of an average Caucasian, giving her a slight tan complexion. Always seeing fit to don her royal garb of gold and green, Seldria also tends to wear quite bit of jewelry on her fingers, seeming to enjoy showing off to anyone who catches a glimpse of her. At the top of her flowing brown hair rests a headband of leaves, proudly showing off her own heritage in another show of vanity.


Personality wise, she tends to be rather full of herself, due to her rather royal background. Teetering on borderline hedonistic, her general mindset tends to be that people were placed on earth to serve her every desire, even if they do live outside her domain. She does seek to expand her rule, after all. Though she's not exactly evil or cruel, she does tend to think of herself much more often than she thinks of others, giving her a kind of selfish, spoiled outlook, though if she garners enough respect for someone she might treat them as more of an equal. In her eyes, if someone isn't an equal to her, they were made to serve her, and she has no qualms of showing the lesser beings their place. Being from a much more tribal and primitive background, she knows little about the more advanced facets of civilization, which can make her seem a bit naive at times, though questioning her intelligence is generally not something one would want to do, at least not to her face.
