Self-centered, childish, and prone to doing whatever she wishes on a whim, and yet strong enough to make virtually any demon, devil, or youkai quake in their boots at the thought of her approaching them, this is Remilia Scarlet aka the Scarlet Devil.

Remilia was born at some point in Europe, how long ago is hard to say, along with her sister Flandre. At some point they were turned into vampires, and for whatever reason Remilia moved herself and Flandre to Gensyoko to the Scarlet Devil Mansion, on a lonely silent island in the middle of a lake. Now, while a vampire is supposedly able to call as many devils as they like with merely a shout, Remilia's staff consists almost entirely of fairy maids, with only one lonely devil named Koakuma on her staff. Why this is, is another mystery of the Scarlet Devil.

Surprisingly for something so dangerous as a vampire, with strength to rival an oni and speed to match a Tengu, Remilia is rather friendly, enjoying conversation and well willing to let just about anyone speak or approach her on the off chance that it will help prevent boredom from claiming her. While at times she'll deliberately allow herself to be manipulated simply because avoiding it would be dreadfully boring otherwise. Unfortunately this desire for entertainment means that, while she's well educated for her physical age, she does adhere to childlike whims, parties, spells, and whatever she likes...unfortunately she also got knowledge of the more lewd activities and takes great fun in binding up her servants, particularly her head maid Sakuya, and playing with them, even eating them in some way before having Patchouli ressurect them.

Ultimately while powerful and when she puts her mind to it charismatic and noble, she is a childish vampire, but one whom defying or not playing along with could end far worse than simply going along with her strange, perverse and childish wants.
