Sapphire is a breed of elf know as "lesser-dark elf" meaning she lacks the strong skin colour and immortality of Dark elves and other elves. Dark elves come when a full-blooded elf mates with a non-immortal being, in Sapphire's case it was a cute mer-girl her mother mated with, giving her her an affinity to water and water magic as well as her name and greyish-blue hair colour. It also gave Sapphire a lovely and soft singing voice which she loves to use regularly.
Even though not immortal lesser elves still live about 10 times longet than humans and most anthros doo, an average lesser elf dies naturally between 800-1100 years. Sapphire is 189 years of age, only just considered and Elven adult by others of her kind, meaning for most purposes Sapphire is nearly 19 in human terms.
Lesser elves also, lack some of the mana of full elven blood, still stronger than most non-elven mages in potential, but not as strong as their full elven kin. However as she was bred of a mermaid and an elf she has extremely potent water magic and the ability to speak Merish and Elvish fluently, she does however struggle with Human or "common" tounge, able to understand a bit, but not speak much. She is also a strong swimmer and able to transform into a mermaid when needed, allowing water breathing and better swimming.
Sapphire is generally a curious and calm type. happy to be by herself doing research, or relaxing on the beach. always seeming to be thinking of something, even when doing a task, making some believe she's lazy and air-headed; the the truth is she's something short of a genius, just lacking focus on average, day to day tasks.
Sapphire's favourite hobby is collecting, with no particular class in mind, she collects bottles and cans, caps, shells, gemstones, stamps, virtually anything she believes she can find more of. Often willing to go to extreme lengths to get something she wants, even if it puts her in danger. On her travels around the various worlds of this realm she found a Nukacola vending machine, and spent weeks repairing it to working order. now claiming it is one of her proudest achievements.
As a combination of bot her magical background and and strong intellectual capacity the elf has exhibited signs of mild telepathic ability. able to read the thoughts of a person should she concentrate hard. Though she cannot control minds, read multiple minds or talk back telepathicly, this allows her to see when people lie and also make her aware of situations. though she rarely uses it due to the fact she's always thinking about something else, and it can look quite odd when she does.
Her strong will and mind also makes it hard to hypnotise the girl and mind control her, though doing it the old fashioned way with tricks and misleading her can still get her to do things she shouldn't. she is however susceptible to advanced forms of mind control and mind enslavement, often used by powerful mages and warlocks.
