Santiago Torres is an adventurer who hails from the jungle community known as the Shokato Tribe, and also the younger brother of Barbara_Torres. Thanks to his years of hunting, he gained a strong proficiency with earth-bending magic and crossbows, which made him very effective at his job.

However, due to some biases, he is often considered inferior to his big sister, forcing him to overexert himself in order to receive a similar level of acknowledgement from others, most of the time. There is no bad blood between the siblings though, and the two of them are willing to die for each other.

Backstory

For the most part, Santiago's early life had been rather straightforward. Barbara loved the idea of having a younger sibling, so she eagerly raised him alongside her parents and taught him everything she could about being a member of the Shokato Tribe, and being an adventurer. Fortunately, he was very adaptable and quickly proved himself to be skilled in combat and hunting, allowing him to rise up the ranks of the local Guild and work alongside his sister.

However, this path would pit him against an unexpected enemy: Barbara herself - or rather, her popularity in the tribe. Not only is she a Crimson Bear, a rare and powerful breed, but she was also a fantastic warrior in her own right - her achievements and loveable personality allowing her to become a symbol of pride for the tribe. Meanwhile, Santi is a very common breed of bear and was more introverted in comparison to her. As a result, she still maintained most of the tribe's attention.

Neglect had become a common part of Santi's life, with other people trying to use him as a merely a way to reach Barbara whilst giving less acknowldegement to his individual accomplishments. This caused him to become increasinbly bitter as a result, though he could never bring himself to actually hate Barbara for it - he knew this was never her intent, and he knew how much she loved him. Still, the way others treated him had caused his insecurities to become amplified to the point where he is considering exiling himself from the tribe.
