Shiny Changeling History!
The shiny changelings once numbered (and technically still do) in the thousands in Shining Equestria. This . . . is no longer the case. Created artificially just like the shiny ponies themselves via their strange advanced technology from changeling DNA, Ferret Inc, created them SPECIFICALLY to dominate and destroy the shiny pony race. Unlike the ponies who were sold as toys to their owners, the changelings were created, indoctrinated to trust their creaters Ferret Inc, and were sent en masse to Shining Equestria, where the container they were shipped in was open by a curious shiny pony in the wilderness. The changelings were sent with one Queen, who was a shiny clone of the actual Queen Chrysalis in the actual Equestrian reality. When they first arrived they only numbered a couple hundred strong, the changelings immediately retreated to the wilderness to set up a hive while Queen Chrysalis sent out infiltrators to infiltrate every Equestrian city. They were told before they arrived that the ponies were the only source of love on the planet and were a enemy of the ferrets besides, and so it was the Queen’s plan to honor her creaters by infiltrating and ultimately taking over the pony’s homeland, both to honor her creaters, and to establish a permanent never ending food source of love for her subjects.
Time passed and the changeling hive grew, Chrysalis reproducing almost constantly, hundreds of eggs born by her in the massive hive in Everfree until the changeling force numbered 1000’s strong. It had been several years, but the love of ponykind was plentiful and her infiltrators brought back love to feed the hive often. There had been a few near misses when they had almost been discovered, but they always managed to scrape by, until the day Chrysalis judged her forces ready.
The invasion of Canterlot was brutal, but not in the way the changeling’s hoped. For their race had been designed to feed on prey species. The problem was, shiny ponies are just as predatory if not more so then they are. When they invaded in mass, there was surprise certainly, but it was momentary at best. Shining Equestria hadn’t been in a war or had large scale conflict in a while, and unlike regular ponies shiny ponies enjoy conflict and subjugating others. So it was that instead of a predator species falling onto a prey species, it was 2 predator species clashing head to head . . . the results . . . were not kind to the changeling race.
When they invaded Canterlot, not only the Royal guard, but every single citizen, even the FOALS of the shiny ponies gleefully leapt into the fray, each pony hoping to devour a changeling to enslave for themselves. The lust and desire to devour the changelings was so great the ponies even wresteled with each other to even ‘get’ to the changelings, some of them even devouring each other to keep them from interefering with individual pony’s chances at a changeling or 3 to devour. The changelings, expecting a easy battle, were shocked but were able to withstand the pony onslaught at first . . . and were even pushing back, many ponies knocked unconscious and carted off to be put in cocoons at least . . . until the hive mind shattered.
Queen Chrysalis had gone to challenge Celestia, thinking that the Lunar princess would be asleep during the day, but she neglected to consider that Celestia would simply teleport to her sister’s bed, wake her up and teleport back, the shiny Celestia was a lot more pragmatic and well . . . brutal than her actual counterpart in the real Equestria. And so it was that Chrysalis found herself facing off against 2 alicorns instead of just one. The fight was short, one sided, and Chrysalis’s cries of ecstacy as the two equally evil Princess’s pleasured her form before deciding that Celestia would be the one to devour her were heard by everyone in Canterlot, and as she was absorbed in Celestia’s stomach into her mindscape to be reprogrammed into a happy loyal pet, the hivemind that all changelings depended on fractured and broke, sending the normally orderly and cohesive changelings into disarray.
Their queen gone, their ranks broken, they fled in masse, Celestia and Luna declared a “ Great Changeling Hunt” throughout all of Shining Equestria. Over the next several years the remaining changelings were ruthlessly hunted down, and either subdued by force, or seduction into the stomachs of the Equestrian population until all but 2 dozen changelings weren’t entranced mindpets to the even more predatory shiny ponies.
18 of the remaining changelings managed to find out about the mainland and fled there, hiding and feeding on the love of the mainlanders to maintain their sanity. They hope to find a powerful mainlander to convert into a queen, but have been dismayed that all the mainlanders are technologically oriented, and so far the only 3 beings they know of that are powerful enough to be converted into a Changeling queen are their enemies, the 3 princesses of the Shiny Ponies. Of the remaining 6, 5 are hiding with difficulty amongst the pony populace, the 5 being the best infiltrators the hive had, which is the only reason they haven’t been found out and devoured. The last one lucked out and found a portal in Everfree forest that led to a world called Nexus, a interdimensional crossroads of sorts. The changeling there, has blended in with the extradimensional travelers and is even now hoping to find a extradimensional traveler powerful enough to convert into a queen to save their race. Of course, a being powerful enough to be a queen can’t be taken against their will, the changeling will have to convince him or her.
Meanwhile back in Shining Equestria there are rumors of nights of incredible passion in Canterlot, of the 2 princess’s ravishing a 3rd party, of Queen Chrysalis, now a entranced mind pet to both princess’s being impregnated and her eggs being prepared to be the 5th pony race, rumors of eggs to be given out to willing pony homes already racing amongst the Canterlot nobility. . . could the rumors be true? Are Celestia and Luna using Chrysalis as a breeding mare to produce a 5th loyal subject race? Only time will tell, and meanwhile Ferret Inc. watches from the sidelines, what will they do now that their latest gambit to bring their creations the shiny ponies under control has failed, and if the shiny changelings manage to find a new queen, how will they regard their creators . . . who sent them like lambs to the slaughter?
Sandal Personal History
In the time when the Shiny Ponies were devouring all of the Shiny Changelings, Sandal did one thing.... He Ran. He ran so far awayyyyy~ And where did he run to? Well, he ran to the Everfree Forest and Hid away... IN a tree stump! It took him a few hours of super nervous digging, hiding and filling in the hole but he figured out how to hollow out tree stumps and hide inside! This saved him from becoming part of someponys lunch! Before all the shiny devouring, Sandal had a single job that he was VERY good at! He collected love. He collected it for the hive but most importantly for himself. He was great at it, all he had to do was disguise himself as a cute squirrel or small animal and he got TONS of love. But now that his race is almost gone? His main goal is to survive on what little love he is able to get.
Update!: Sandal was running from a rather excited group of Shiny Ponies, running for his life when he turned and ran right through a hidden portal to the Nexus and into a solid tree. Sandal didnt think that would stop the shinies so he kept running and hid until
ShinyChangeling found him. Leyko ordered Sandal to curl up and not move until after he confirms he isnt a shiny pony in disguise. Sandal did as told and was taken to the temp hive, placed in a healing cocoon which would heal and show his true form. After 8 hours, Sandal was mostly healed and was proven to be a Shiny Changeling after all. Leyko and Sandal talked and Sandal got up to date with what happened. Now Sandal is going to do this best to restore their hive, find a new queen and protect Leyko and the other shiny he hasnt met yet, Cloud.
UPDATE!: Sandal met
Cloud_Shifter the next day. Cloud was building their hive and Sandal had returned from the nearest town, FULL of love to almost the bursting point. Cloud immediately noticed Sandal and rushed over, introducing himself and wanting to know who Sandal was. So Sandal told him and after some introductions, Sandal kisses CLoud and fills him with love! Cloud in return connected them mentally so they can feel each others feelings and hear each others thoughts! Soon after, Sandal condensed and then coughed up a jewel of pink radiating love. He stored this in the Hive's new Love Vault before getting a few lessons from Cloud on how Non Shiny anatomy went. ;3

ShinyChangeling- One from Sandal's Hive and who used to be a hatchling guardian. Sandal and Leyko have met before the devourment of their people but only now have they become friends. Sandal met Leyko when he stumbled into the park after fleeing hungry shinys. Now they both are going to work together to find a new Queen and restart their hive!
Cloud_Shifter- A normal Changeling who decided to be a shiny so he would have family! Sandal adores this changeling and on more then one account they are off, cuddling, kissing, etc. Cloud is Sandal's new best friend and possibly more if he can ever bring himself to ask. But for the meantime he considers Cloud his special friend~
