Inherent Abilities
Thanks to years of training under the Chozo, Samus has acquired many skills, making her formidable even outside her suit. Armed with lightning-fast reflexes, superhuman strength and endurance, a high resistance to pain, and a fluidic athleticism, she is a force to be reckoned with in melee combat. After her Metroid vaccination, she acquired three sharp arm-blades that protrude from her left forearm in a Wolverine-esque fashion. If her suit is off, they appear white and stained with blood. Otherwise, they assume the primary color of her current suit. Samus's training has also provided her a will of iron, her mind a fortress nearly impenetrable to any sort of mind invading technique.

Energy: 99
Energy powers Samus's suit. She can replenish energy lost in battle by absorbing Energy Capsules from defeated enemies or yellow X-Parasites, and by entering either a Save Station or her ship.
Suits:
Power Suit
This is Samus's basic means of protection. It provides life-support functions, allowing her to survive underwater and in vacuum-like conditions. It does not provide much else in the areas of extreme temperatures and caustic liquids. Its structural-integrity field loses energy when damaged, so Samus must keep her energy reserves charged. The Power Suit's modular nature allows for it to be upgraded by any of three methods: acquisition of a Chozo upgrade module, downloading upgrade data, or absorbing a Core-X Parasite whose host had a distinct ability.

Beams:
Power Beam
This is Samus's default weapon. It fires a weak energy pulse, but that's about it. In order to increase her firepower, Samus will have to seek out upgrades for her Beam.
Charge Beam
This upgrade allows Samus to charge her Beam and fire a more powerful blast. A charged blast can penetrate light armor. She can spin-jump and coat herself with the charged Beam, enabling her to ram into enemies and cause damage. It can also act as an impromptu lantern, though its light only has a radius of five meters.
One of Samus's trademark abilities, this device allows Samus to compress herself into a sphere about one meter in diameter. It is mostly used for exploratory purposes, allowing her to fit in areas normally too small for her. The Morph Ball can be augmented by the methods described in the Power Suit section, enabling her to reach hidden areas.

Visors:
Combat Visor
This is Samus's standard Visor setting. It displays her energy and ammo counts, as well as a basic radar and targeting reticules. It can only see in visible light.
Scan Visor
This is Samus's secondary Visor setting. It allows her to gather information on life-forms and technology, as well as allowing her to bypass security systems and gain access to mission-vital info.

Command Visor
This Visor setting allows Samus to remotely send commands to her ship, ranging from simple landings to air-assistance and carrying heavy objects. It won't work (or be useful, for that matter) if she's underground, there is sufficient interference to jam communications, or she does not have access to her Arm Cannon.
