Salvage

In the advanced setting of mechagirls and amazing technology is always a sidenote or reminder to consider those that are not as blessed to have the best minds or vast wealths available to their worlds/militaries to compete with the more successful planets and corporations of the cosmos. Innovation cannot come easily, however, necessity is still the mother of invention. While other worlds would build front line mechanized soldiers that could combat entire space fleets or armies of conventional soldiers and weaponry, the planet of Crador decided to fill a niche that exemplified the best they could offer. While most of the tremendous mecha are out fighting full fledged wars or privatized missions, Crador's Salvage Corp fulfills the roles of guards, escorts, and espionage agents.

Unable to match the level of technology used in the 200 ft. 'mecha girls', the head government of Crador did the next best thing. It automated the process for cheaper, simplier mecha. Rather than the billions to make the larger machines, they instead used cheaper materials and reduction of scale to manufacture 75 ft. tall mechs to function as mercenaries for Crador's desire for profit. Built smaller and with cheaper parts, they could be mass produced by the dozen compared to the single unit production of the more advanced, larger units from other worlds. To reduce cost of the A.i. systems? Volunteer soldiers of Crador's militaries allowed their minds to be dissected, copied, and then coded. Now the wealthier nations and private parties of the universe can hire an entire battalion of mechanized, mass-produced giant soldiers to suit whatever needs they may require, often for a fraction of the cost it would be for larger mecha not suited to the roles asked of them!
