Yohan at the young age of 8, where they became fast friends. Due to his new friend's curse, unbeknownst to him, their initial friendship was not long lived and by their mid-teenage years Yohan was forced to move and they were separated for many decades. During this time Sai got into the business of witch hunting, something he effectively stumbled into after killing one as an errand for the humans of Some Village, and that settlement became the headquarters of his operation. This 'career' is something he does entirely out of interest for money, not out of any passion to cleanse the world of evil.
