Saff

Saffron Creamtail, an unassuming (4'7") salamander girl with nothing to her name, and nothing to lose. She has no marketable skills, no strengths to take advantage of, except for a desire to make something of herself... if that's even possible.

A few notes about her body, Saff is yellow in color, lighter along her stomach and chest, and her neck. She has three fingers and a thumb on each hand, but she does have five toes on her feet. Her body is slender, her tail on the short side, and rather thick. She has amber eyes and no hair anywhere on her body, and has both lungs and gills, plus she can respire through her skin. Speaking of which, her skin is constantly at least slightly moist, secreting a thing layer of mucus to keep herself from drying out on land, a side effect of being a an amphibian, semi-aquatic species. For this reason, it's a bit difficult to wear clothes, unless they're specifically designed to be water resistant, and those tend to be expensive. Oh yeah, and she can regenerate lost limbs within a matter of a couple weeks, though luckily she's only had to do that once.

Saff has not had an easy life thus far, going from failed job to failed job, kicked out of restaurants and retail stores and grocery stores, for various reasons. It's difficult to carry plates of food on slippery hands, collecting carts in the afternoon sun is unfeasible for a salamander, and no one wants to get home only to find their groceries wet... She's tried being a maid, and a babysitter, but she's too clumsy to do any good cleaning up a house, plus kids don't exactly listen to someone so timid and soft-spoken. There was never a point when Saff decided she was going to be an uncertain, nervous wreck, things just sorta snowballed, one after another, until she leaving her with no chance to gain any confidence of her own... aside from at the bottom of a bottle of wine or liquor.

On that note... Saff has something of a drinking problem. She knows it, she hates it, but when things suck so hard she doesn't want to wake up the next day, booze does a great job of taking the edge off. It also does a great job of helping her ruin her reputation not to mention forget whatever happens after she blacks out! Oh wait, those aren't positive features. At any rate, she wants to quit, fully intends to, but that resolve tends to melt whenever someone offers her a little liquid confidence.
