The uneducated might tell you that the pleasures of the flesh are never to be touched, for fear of sacrificing one's sanctity, and that much is patently untrue. There is nothing more sacred than the pleasures offered by flesh and blood. Nothing more holy, nothing more enjoyable. One's body is a temple, and it deserves worship.

So speaks the angel Eos, the patron of the skin. Her lips, her dulcet voice, the soft embrace of her wings; none of it seems to betray the idea. Eos embraces the body in all of its splendor — how it can change things, how it can connect with people, how it is tantamount to the most intimate of experiences. She oversees it all, and it is something that brings her quite a bit of joy.

Some mortals have reported even seeing Eos, but those experiences are usually deemed temporary, too fleeting to really pin down if Eos truly walks the mortal plane. They are all indeed true, though — and that is merely what those mortals can report on. Some that see Eos are never seen again, the only sound that they leave the plane with being a wet, roiling gurgle.

Eos wonders as much herself, as she dances with mortals, how it would be to receive the fate she deals out to so many. She doesn't doubt that it would be a bit of ignominy, but as she presides over the matters of the body, she cannot help but wonder what it would feel like to pump through one herself. However, nothing has quite motivated her towards fully taking the plunge yet, as she — like anyone — would need a little convincing.

No matter what end of the equation she's on, however, she views it all with the same pride and joy. This is her domain, and she has been allowed to bear witness to the wonders of the body. Eos herself stands over her work in just as much awe as the mortals below do.
