Given name: Rand
The good 'ol Prince of Sablé, Friendly Rivals with Prince Richard of Custard, and husband to Princess Tiramisu of Mille-Feuille. On a journey in Mille-Feuille, he was tricked into drinking a potion that turned him into a frog when he touched cold water (pictured on his left shoulder) by the witch Mandola. Later returning to the witch's house, he demanded that she change him back, so she sold him a different potion for all the money he had. She then left on a vacation, and he drank the potion, only to find that it didn't have any immediate effects. Angry, he went after her, only to find a snake blocking his way into the vacation town. Hot-blooded, he charged into battle with the snake, only to be easily defeated by it. This appeared to be his saving grace: the witch's pet vulture (Polnareff) carried him into town, and Mandola explained the second potion to him. It allowed him to turn into a snake whenever he ate snake eggs,(pictured on his right shoulder) into a frog when he touched cold water, and back into a human when he ate a "Joy Fruit" or collapsed. Using these powers (and a multitude of certain tools) he traversed Mille-Feuille to try and fix the Spring bell to ring in spring early and rescue Richard and the Custard knights, who had been turned into frogs to be used as food for the evil Snake King Delarin. Eventually, he was able to defeat Delarin with the help of friends he met along the way.
However, one day, in his dreams, he stumbled upon a strange portal, which transported his dream self to the nexus. Luckily, he still had all his belongings, allowing him to transform whenever he pleased!
If he gets eaten, he'll wake up in his bedroom in his reality.
His frog form keeps his boots and cape, whereas the snake form just keeps his cape.
Once he realized he couldn't tell anyone his name, he thought up the nickname "Rand." It's not his real name, but his real name always comes out garbled.
Important Belongings:
Bottle of Wine- A bottle of Prime Noveau, a brand of wine with supreme healing powers.
Bottle of Cold Water- The emptied bottle of the second potion given to him by Mandola, filled with cold water so he can turn into a frog whenever he wishes.
Joy Fruits- He keeps a multitude of these on him, so he can change back to a human whenever he wants.
Hot Spring Eggs- Boiled snake eggs which allow him to turn into a snake. These also help him heal a bit, though significantly less than Prime Noveau.
Diary- Given to him by an old man in a port town, he keeps a record of everything that happens to him in this. It never runs out of free pages, because magic.
Snake Killer- A golden sword with superb strength, able to blow away lightly armed human enemies with ease. Of course, as the name suggests, it was made for killing snakes.
Mirror shield- a round shield with four points, giving it corners as well as its mirrored surface.
Other Items:
Frogslator- A magic hood that allows him to talk to frogs when human. (Virtually useless, as he has yet to meet another frog, and even if he did, he'd likely just transform.)
Silver Sword- His weapon before he grabbed the Snake Killer. Will only use it if the Snake Killer is lost for whatever reason.
Bronze Sword- His weapon before he found the Silver Sword. Same rules apply; will only use if the Silver Sword is lost.
Fencing Foil- His first weapon. More for fencing than true combat, however. Will use only as a last resort.
Iron Shield- The shield he bought from the Nantendo building on the island of Brown Sugar in Mille-Feuille. Same rules as the swords apply, the mirror shield being the better.
Leather Shield- One shield down from the iron one. Bought in Hop Hop Village.
Wooden Shield- One down from the leather shield. Bought in A La Mode.
Saws- a collection of wood-cutting saws. Low quality; each breaks after one use. Can only cut soft wood.
Pickaxes- For breaking through obstructing rock. Like the saws, they're low quality as well and break after one use to bust rock. Swinging at the air with one won't actually break it.
Mysterious Plaque- A reminder that the true power of the Snake Killer will be unleashed upon witnessing an act of true friendship. Something he keeps as a reminder to not take friendship for granted, and as a reminder of his adventure.
Map of Mille-Feuille- another reminder of his journey. He ended up traversing the entire kingdom; quite a feat for anyone.
Warp Door- A magical door with a "W" etched on it. Entering it will cause him to warp to the entrance to any dungeon. Was useful when he got stuck, got lost, or wanted to go get healed and start fresh. Works in caves and jungles, as well. (May actually have *some* use in Nexus)
Wristbands- Allow him to push rocks out of the way in human form. Will only use if his gloves are lost.
Work...*ahem* Hyper Gloves- Allow him to push large rocks out of the way in human form. They don't look too special.
Wasabi Roots- Though he doesn't like the taste himself, shoving one of the spicy plants into an enemy's mouth would cause it to be briefly paralyzed by the spicyness. Could be useful to get away from predators, unless they like it.
