That's what most people think, when they first meet Ryou. He's a bit of one, to be fair, but it's not an entirely accurate impression of him. After all, he's been around for quite a while, and done quite a few things. Now, well, he's on vacation! Or at least, that's been his claim for the past fifty years or so.
Still, he thinks he's entitled to one, and who are we to disagree? After all, over the years he's been a soldier, a poet, a novelist(some fairly good stuff for the time, but sadly forgotten), and an explorer/ship's captain. He's quite literally been there and done that in regards to a great many things. Of course, what's most notable about his life is that he IS still alive.... after all, he's something like five hundred years old(and hasn't bothered keeping up with his age).
Still, this isn't so noteworthy once you realize he's a kitsune. After all, those buggers can live forever, give or take. Thousands of years is nothing to them, and five hundred years? Pfft. Yeah. Not a problem. Though, as old as he is... why does he only have four tails?
Simple! He's not found the others yet! He's only found three of his delinquent tails, and added them to himself, but he seems rather disinterested in hunting them actively. Why THAT is is a personal matter, according to him, and you'd probably best just leave it alone. The point is, he's perfectly content to let them come to him, rather than to hunt them down. And, well, so far it seems to be working out rather well!
Typically when you encounter him nowadays, of course, he's passing for human. His tails are concealed, as are his ears, and he's dressed, well, normally enough for whatever part of the world he's in. Really, he's become a bit of an international tourist, with only a few incidents getting in the way(a group of would-be terrorists got a nasty surprise when they tried kidnapping him once). Right now, he's mostly sampling delicious food and drink from wherever he winds up, before setting off again. Typically, though, he keeps to the coastal areas, because his preferred mode of travel is by boat.
Of course, if you could see him out of his disguise, he might be rather more impressive. For one, there's those four long, silky, floofy tails, and those soft, tufted ears, both sharing the same smoky coloring. One might also notice a number of scars across his chest and arms, and the slight fangs in his mouth. And, well, if things get serious, one might notice the gauntlets on his hands, and a certain gleam in his eye...
As far as his personality goes, though, Ryou is a friendly, laid-back, easygoing guy. He enjoys the simple things in life, especially good food, good drink, and delicious women, though there is some overlap. He's a shameless flirt, as well, always chatting with women and generally having a good time. And, well, the ones who wander off with him never seem to complain, though they might, just might, blush hotly as they hear his name...
