Ryll

Ryll is quite the odd character. At a glance, she seems to be a human with a few... extras, but closer inspection reveals that she only looks human. What she actually is, is anyone's guess.

Her skin is an odd greenish-tan color, and appears to be scaled very, very finely. Her irises are an odd shade of green, and while she has limbs shaped like those of a normal human, instead of finger- and toe-nails, her fingers and toes form short, somewhat blunt claws at the last joint. Of course, that is just part of it. Instead of hair, her head bears a multitude of very thick quill-like structures, apparently segmented. While they superficially resemble dreadlocks, they seem to be more like antennae, though she cannot consciously move them. Instead, they all constantly shift slightly, giving her the appearance of being in an eternal faint breeze. Also, sprouting from her back, just below her shoulderblades, are another pair of limbs. Reaching up from behind, and folding down over her shoulders at their 'elbows', these limbs resemble nothing so much as a pair of giant mantis claws, though they lack serration. Also, close inspection reveals that Ryll's jaw is not normal. Instead of a normal jaw structure, Ryll has an extensible support, allowing her to stretch her jaw down quite far. Additionally, her cheeks are actually the backsides of a pair of mandibles, a further indication of her insectoid nature.

Standing a mere five feet even, she is not impressive in height, and does not appear at all muscular. In fact, to all appearances, she is verging on the slightly chubby side, rounded and soft to the touch as well as the eye. The shape of her face suggests an Irish person, though not being human, that is not likely.

Ryll appears to wear fingerless gloves, toeless, heelless boots, and a bodysuit that covers from her breasts down to the tops of her legs, leaving her cleavage and thighs exposed. Whether this is actually a bodysuit and other garb is uncertain- the 'clothing' is a dark, deep mahogany in color, and seems as chitinous as Ryll's skin.

Ryll is capable of being a predator, if one with a surprisingly innocent outlook on life. She eats others not out of malice, but simply from a need for that much nutrients- and with a sufficient test of her abilities, one can see why. Ryll is extremely tough, capable of withstanding incredible pressure and physical blows. She can deadlift several tons without any visible effort as well. She is not, however, particularly fast, and has to rely on subtleness and a fairly good skill at stealth to catch her meals. Usually, though, she is quite content to eat only plant life, being a bit of a 'people of any sort rights activist', so to speak.

Ryll is capable of eating anything up to her own size, her jaw and body flexible enough to stretch quite far. Typically, she will only eat one before heading for somewhere safe to rest and digest, but she has occasionally been known to consume two, particularly if they are alone, and thus one is the only witness to the eating of the other. Ryll does not chew, her teeth being more a matter of decoration and speech assistance than function, instead relying on powerful stomach acid to perform most of the digestion needed.

Ryll is a predator, but not a vicious or sly one. She could be prey, but it would be pretty hard to manage. She is capable of sex, and while she enjoys it, does not go out of her way to seek it, and so could not be considered 'slutty' or 'easy'. She enjoys talking with people, though sometimes that leads her to lingering around long enough to get hungry, at which point she sees no problem at all with eating her conversational partner...
