A Thief lost in the night

Ryla is a thief in every sense of the word. She steals purses, artifacts, treasures, and hearts alike, uncaring as to who they belonged to what she had to do to get them. She hails from the icy north, a small tribal village, Karkanon, that wouldn't be on the map if her daring deeds didn't put it there as her birthplace.

She could never resist treasure. From a young age she stole from friends and family, and it wasn't long before she got kicked out to brave the cold on her own, with little to keep her warm but her purse. It was a miracle that she stumbled upon the cities of the south when she did... and more of a miracle that they were all so easily stolen from. She lived well there for her teen years until she too got kicked out... repeat, and repeat, and repeat until she decided she was more a traveler than one to stay in one place. She's somewhat of an adventurer now, but instead of raiding dungeons she raids mansions. Beware, politicians and royals, or you might just find your treasure gone, and your guards left as nothing more than a pile of half-digested bones!

Personality

Ryla is the personification of a shifty lowlife. She has a poor idea of the wealthy (unless they're her), she takes whatever oppertunities she can, and she shows no mercy to any that might stand in the way of her and personal riches. She can seem at first cocky or harsh to her chosen targets, but to anyone she deems as worthy, or to anyone that has earned her trust, she starts to show a bit more playful and curious side. She loves a challenge, and won't hesitate to try and steal from stronger species or targets, even if it does run the risk of getting her eaten in the end. She only has one rule: Never steal from dragons. In fact, she does the opposite; She'll steal for them and leave them presents and sacrifices, sometimes secretly, sometimes with love notes behind them. It's a secret she likes to keep hidden. Ryla. like most kobolds, has an unhealthy obsession with dragons and monsters in a way that she can't quite explain. She can't resist them, and a subconcious part of her seeks a dragon sponsor to steal for, satisfy, and tend to more than anything else in the world. If she happens to stumble upon a particulary seductive one? She might not stand a chance...


OOC Stuff

I'm pretty much open to anything with this character. I like seeing her win, and I like seeing her lose. She's open to long term plays, short term plays, or anything in between. Please, though, don't feel bad if I don't respond to you. Sometimes I don't see posts, or I just don't have time to respond while in another RP. My hands can get tired of typing at times, and sometimes saying 'no' a lot is challenging, and people approaching IC makes it even more awkward to say 'no' sometimes. Please respect that I might not respond to requests to RP, or IC things, and don't hold it against me!

Memorable RPs/Events

In a more modern world DredgeBristlebane took the kobold under his wing, so to speak, taking her on as his private caretaker for when he comes back bruised and bandaged. For as long as she can, Ryla will keep him tended to!~
The little Kobold thought that the night was safe. It saved her from pursuers, those seeking justice for her thievery or those simply seeking their next meal. Ryla never could have imagined it would all end so... bizarrely. To fall under the damning gaze of a creature as silly, as random and whimsical as Soft_Fuzzy_Man... but she did, and that was the end of her... his song ringing in her ears as she slipped away, subsuming her into nothingness. Nobody would ever know what happened to her, as her ghostly predator vanished as quickly as he appeared, a little wider for his troubles~

Abilities

Highly clever, but not highly intelligent. Can speak most languages, but only speaks when she has something to say... but she doesn't talk much to her targets, obviously, except maybe to gloat.

Extremely flexible. She can bend and squeeze herself through tight places as well as the most skilled of contortionists. She's also rather stretchy, which helps when she's feeling hungry...

Skilled with her frost rapier. Not too much, as she prefers less violent means unless she's feeling sadistic or hungry, but she has the know-how to use it when she needs it.
