This might have been the motto of the scientist responsible for the creation of Roselia and other demis, but let’s start at the beginning. Dr. Lee, started his institute about 40 years ago, his goal was to find similarities in the human and animial genetic code. While at first he had great success, many called his experiments and research unethical and tried to stop it, not that there was much to stop, as long as the doctor and his team focused on theoretic research. Naturally finding similarities soon wasn’t enough, and they started exploring the possibility of mixing up animal and human DNS, linking them where they were most similar. Of course the work could only be theroretcial for so long, and after a few years, Dr. Lee applied for funds to start practical experiments. While at first, people were willing to support his studies, the moderate success and ‘playing god’ air that the experiment had about it, in relation with the mounting protests eventually led to the closing of the projects, funding being retracted and Dr. Lee’s team disbanding. Crestfallen, the doctor continued his experiments in private, as long as his savings allowed him to, anyways. Only when he thought he’d found the missing piece that would allow him to start mixing up human and animal genes, he was bankrupt. Forced to take a normal job he started working in a hospital, at first it seemed he’d given up on his dream completely, however in private he still aspired to fulfil his aspirations, even though he couldn’t continue his experiments. Only when given the opportunity to work in the new department of the hospital that helped women to get pregnant and fulfil their dreams of having kids, Dr. Lee couldn’t resist seizing his chance to continue his experiments. Trying to bring his theory into reality he manipulated egg cells that were going to be implanted into fertile women, this was 21 years ago. Naturally it couldn’t stay hidden for long what the doctor had done, and a few months after he started experimenting on the first women, the results of his works were noticed by the doctors using ultrasonics to check on the growing babies. Sometimes they were merely growing ears, a tail, their organs might be in different places, but sometimes it seemed the doctor had crossed species with humans nobody would’ve thought possible, snakes, lizards, and, in Roselia’s case, slugs. Long before the first of those babies were born, the doctor had been arrested, put on trial, and eventually sent to prison. To the great surprise of the scientific community most of those demi human babies survived pregnancy and birth, but the number of failures was just too high to pardon Dr. Lee, not to speak of the sometimes horrified parents who didn’t want their kids to have tails or animal ears. Roselia was of course one of the more extreme examples, the bottom half of her body being a slug tail instead of legs.

"Knowing that she might be the end of you, still unable to take your eyes off her, maybe, maybe there’s a chance that she’ll kiss you back."
Standing taller than most humans, and her frame being just a bit larger in general, Roselia stands out in crowds, while this is mostly because of the large slug tail, the first thing most people see, is the mane of red hair, curls and bangs making a rather streaking sight, along with the even face, the stubby, rather cute nose, and fascinating emerald, glinting eyes. Thin lips often curled into a smile, the only thing out of place being a pair of antennas sprouting at the woman’s hairline, thin and luminescent at the look-through round tip. Looking further down, Roselia’s shoulders are feminine, as is the rest of her figure, her breasts large and jiggly, a bit of pudge on belly and hips making her look no less attractive, perhaps even more in the eyes of some people. Below that, things get a bit weird though, pink flesh seems to get a bit rubbery, and eventually slimy, the female organs located just there, pink, and always glistening wet. Further down, the flesh turns rather pale, and not less, but even more slimy, of course only on the underside, on her back, the skin turns into a dark beige tone, a few black freckles covering the long heavy tail, only glistening as if covered with a film of slimy liquid. Naturally Roselia makes quite a mess when moving around, even though the slime leaves almost no trace once it’s dried and turning into vapour, it does have a slightly acid smell to it though, making it obvious that it might not be smart to touch it.
Naturally Roselia doesn’t walk (or slither) around naked all day, usually wearing a tank top, along with a skirt, of which the insides were waterproof so it wouldn’t stick to her all the time.

Naturally the children resulting from the shunned doctor’s experiments were closely monitored and examined, expecting them to get sick and die, with the different physiques not working together on the long run, however, it turned out that while his methods might have been more than questionable, the results were more than impressive, and in spite of his illegal actions, he was nominated for the Nobel price years later, his research leading to a breakthrough in genetics, allowing parents to give their kids those experimental features, that would not only make them look more cute, but also help to prevent some genetic defects, this however was years after, the doctor had died in prison, and Roselia grown up. Monitoring the ‘demis’ how the first generation of kids were called those days, their parents were given the opportunity to send them to a private school, where only the ~ 50 demis of various sorts were taught. Seeing that their kid might not have a good time in a normal school, Roselia’s parents, a lesbian couple, accepted the offer and Roselia, who turned out to be unique, the male subject with the same modifications not having survived birth, was sent to be taught. The school’s location was outside the city, in one of the nearby small towns, and there was plenty opportunity to visit their daughter, who might be different, but still resembled her mother(s) in many ways. Growing up among other kids that weren’t human made things a great deal easier, of course people were giving Roselia and the other kids strange looks and were more than a little freaked out by their appearances, more so by Roselia and her huge slug tail, leaving a slimy trail wherever she moved, than by the more harmless demis, who even had some admirers. There were some other odd things that came up while Roselia and some of the other kids, following her instincts, she one day was found by one of the teachers, her tail unusually large and and by the way it was moving it was rather obvious that someone was inside there. Not knowing what to do, or how to react to this kind of thing, asides from calling the parents of both kids, a doctor and the headmaster, there was nothing they could come up with, the laxatives they gave her not having the desired effect to ‘flush out’ her victim. With nothing to be done about it, the poor catboy was left to stew in the snail before his struggles eventually ended. Of course Roselia was grounded after this and strictly forbidden to ever do that again, even if people called her a fat slug and threw salt at her, like the boy had done. After that her classmates and teachers treated Roselia rather cautiously. Just like any other kid, she did of course have friends, and struggled with all kinds of problems that normal kids were facing, too while growing up. She developed a taste for partying and music, that wasn’t everything though, unable to control herself when she was upset, she devoured another guy, this time nobody from her class, just a boy bullying her when she went to the city to visit her parents. But really, it was his mistake to follow the teen aged slug girl into that dingy alleyway to continue teasing her about the slime trail she left everywhere. Much to her pleasure she noticed that he barely made a bulge in her tail, and his struggles where not visible on the outside, but she could feel him, every little twitch, every squirm, his hands pushing out, his pleas to be released muffled by her tail’s flesh. It had been a very pleasing experience, especially since it was forbidden, a very normal rebellious streak for a teenage girl, with an unusual outlet. Much to her surprise she got away with it with no repercussions at all. Her grades in school were quite good and so she could easily enrol at the university and, encouraged by her parents she started to study economics, seeing more opportunity for her to join some kind of business. While she hasn’t given up eating people she still is rather careful about when to do it, only doing it when she’s sure to get away with it. She pays her studies and rent with both a loan and by helping her mothers in their translation office. Showing talent with languages, somewhere in her future Roselia plants to go to travel and see some of the world, as difficult as that might be with her unique physique.

- Roselia might be faster than she looks, but running away is still the best way to avoid being eaten.
- Do not approach IC.
- Once something’s in her stomach, chances are about 98% that it’s going to be digested with almost no leftovers, she can expel bones, but that’s mostly for the fun of it. The rest is worked into her slime, as disgusting as that may be.
- Use proper grammar and spelling, mistakes happen, but not repeatedly.
- Salt may have an effect on her, but it’d have to be a lot, if you really want to stop her, just imagine the scaling from a regular sized slug to Roselia’s size.
- Descriptive posts, please, I don’t ask for walls of text or anything, but I need something to work with, things that I can react to.
- Roselia’s slime is slightly acidic, if she lays on you for too long…you might find out that she can absorb nutrients that way, too. On the other hand, it’s a great way to clean up, once the slime dries and vaporises there is usually no dirt left.
