James_TylarRose is a freshman in high school, though the school she attends is not your typical one. No there is nothing magical, mystical, legendary or special about it. It is rather plain actually, what is different about it is that it is K-12. That is elementary, middle and high school all in the same place. This can make for some interesting situations.
Now as for Rose herself, despite appearances she is shy at first. Though Rose is a kind, caring and sweet girl. Rose being shy is due to that Rose started to develop when she just twelve years old. It was not even just a little, Rose seemed to blossom overnight. While that sounds like a good thing, it was not. Kids can cruel and a lot of them made fun of here, even her so called friends. It was not a good time for Rose, everyone in her class would tease and make fun of her. She would eat lunch alone so no one would make milk jokes. ((yes I know real mature.)) Rose felt like the whole school was making fun of her.
One day a new kid joined the school, he was four years younger than Rose. Rose felt that this James Tylar kid would make fun of her as well. That same day Rose sat down to eat her lunch alone again when James sat down next to her. Rose looked at him waiting for him to make a joke about her body or make fun of her. James simply gave a big grin and told her that it is no fun to eat alone. James was the first kid in a long time to see Rose as just her. This event happened day after day and James never once made fun of Rose or teased her. The two became fast friends despite being four years apart in age.
Two years have passed since that day and some of the kids have stopped teasing Rose. Rose has even made a few more friends but she is still best friends with her first true friend James. Some kids still tease Rose but all James has to do is give Rose that big grin like he did the first day they met and it brightens up her mood right away. Though lately every time Rose sees James her heart starts pounding, after discussing it with a few of her female friends she figured out what was causing her heart to pound like a drum around James. She knew she had to tell James or she felt like her heart would beat right out of her chest.
A week later her teacher passed out a flyer of names. She then explained that they were names of younger students that needed tutoring. At first Rose didn't care but then she saw James name on the list. This was it, this was her chance to tell James. After managing to become James's tutor Rose put a plan into action. After many failed attempts to tell him she managed to tell James and to Rose's surprise James felt the same. He asked Rose to be his girlfriend and she happily accepted.
Rose is still shy around people she doesn't know but eventually becomes more comfortable as she gets to know them. It is all due to the teasing she went and gone through. The only person she feels completely relaxed around is James.
