Ever since humanity found Sergals their lives had changed. What was normal was not anymore. Sergals were predators on their planet, and were ever the great hunters they ever were. But with the introduction of humans, they learned a new way. Of course it was not accept by all Sergals. There was opposition and even a war with the humans, till it came to negociations. There the humans were able to convince the sergals of what could be gained through peace. And with the need of an embassy, gold was used to purchase a plot of land for a settlement and embassy to keep the peace.
As time went on the Sergals grew up knowing humanity as friends, rarely as food. But as fate would have it. Humans found female sergals that would be bethrolled to the male humans, and same for the female humans and male sergals. Though Such marragies would need a secondary marrage, one between another pair, a human and sergal that needed to be done for the two species to continue on. As it was found out in the first few generations of sergal human marriges that humans and sergals couldn't mate thus they needed the second marrage so that they could have young. The female of either marrage would know the male of their marrage as the father of their children even if the biological one was from the secondary. It caused less problems for the seconday marrage to vanish from the minds of the two pairs as they were happier and with children.
This brings up to Roland, he was the child of such a marraige, and he knew his human father, and well he knows humans are weaker than he is, so he is gentle with them. But the park has shown him others, from prey to preds, so he will be gentle with those he knows, well as gentle as he needs to be. But other than that, he will need to be friendly with you to be your prey.

(What I have to, Ugh.... Fine making a story of the Segal family, at least the two sibilings here)
Roland Segal, he was born to a normal Segal mother, but a human father. The reason behind this? His human father is that father that took care of him. His biological father was from the marrage pair. So He did get to know him, but came to love the human as his father, and well he accepted him. And he has a sister her name is Lily.
The unique nature of Sergals lets them bond, though the childhood bond to their parrents fade at adulthood their sibiling bond doesn't, this bond lets them know that the other's condition. It also lets them tap into the frequency to summon the other no matter where they are. Also when one is enraged so is the other.
They are both effective fighters, and deadly when enraged with steel breaking punching and more. As they get heated, and pissed off. An easy indicator of this is their fists, they change colors, from normal to yellow to red. So beware.
