What do you call a shark that actually has no problems swimming through the very earth you and I walk on? Why a Landshark, of course! While she is apart of a species of fairly backwards sea creatures, it doesn't take much to know what this shark is all about. Born and raised in the arid sands, "
Rikujou Sakana" (as the many legends have come to name her) has become something of a celebrity in her own sandy domain of 'Sandbox of Duat', her presence seen as a guardian to the hidden ruins located beneath the sands that hold great treasure and wonder. Many a traveler searching for these riches have walked these sands, and many have seen their end in her voracious gut, the shark of sands seeming to have no qualms with swallowing anyone no matter how large, small, young or old. While viewed as a monster, Rikujou can actually be quite sociable if one can manage to scathe off her hunger long enough to hold a decent conversation. Her knowledge of the human tongue is limited, this showing in her broken sentences, but it could still be seen as a great feat among her species to actually adopt a secondary language of what is considered prey to both her and her beastly kin. Interestingly enough, Rikujou isn't even aware of the treasure that lies around her, the shark having accidentally taken up the role as a guardian simply due to the fact that so many tasty snacks came through this way, her pudgy figure being a adipose testament to just how many hapless souls came here.
In terms of personality, what appears to be known is that Rikujou is fairly gluttonous having the portly figure to prove it and a stretchable gullet to compensate for it. She doesn't seem to discriminate on what is edible to her and will gobble up things like solid steel if it means having a treat to fill her rumbling belly. Her omnivorous tendencies are actually not uncommon among the Landshark species, this being due to their stomach's natural resilience and the fact that their usual habitat is very scarce on morsels to indulge upon. However due to their rarity, little is actually known about them so it is only assumed that Rikujou herself has this gastric attribute. The landshark is actually fairly childish in some respects and absolutely can not stand losing her 'prey'. The few who have escaped have told of the large shark woman throwing a tantrum simply because she could not locate them after they managed to escape her.
