It started with a strange distress signal some years ago, from beyond Jupiter... as part of a recon unit, Rika was sent with other mech girls of her production line to investigate. There are fractured radio transmissions from the battle that returned to headquarters, one of which was Rika telling her team to retreat as she stayed behind to "talk" with the invaders after a week of hard battles. It's been a scant year since then, and there has been no word back from Rika F. Exia since then.
As if to take her place, this strange woman has arrived in her stead in Nexus Park. Initially appearing as a giantess, she was able to shrink herself down to the size of the average human being through the emission of what appeared to be the GN Particles that Rika used. Even though this woman uses that same first name, she insists that her last name is Elsannia.
If you want a semi-crude tl;dr summary of what happened, let's just say that she was subjected to an ambiguously bad touch by parasitic metal alien lifeforms and leave it at that. Also, she doesn't like it when you touch that flower on her head. She doesn't get mad, per se, but it's not pleasant for her since it's a part of her.
In personality, she is a kind, elegant woman who does her best to come to an understanding with other people. Many say that she has the patience of a saint and then some, as she is seen calmly dealing with some of the more frustrated, irate folk of Nexus Park despite whatever threats they may make on her. She rarely raises her voice at others, and tends to ask politely for just about anything. If there is one thing she has trouble tolerating, it's what she deems as true evil. This is where she truly becomes frightening, as she gives these people the same treatment as anyone else, but if she digests them... they never come back. Rather, people will find large amounts of GN Particles wherever these people were last sighted lingering in the air, mixing with the essences of those who arrive to investigate... and Rika gains a new outfit in the process, more often than not.
She is capable of communicating directly with the minds of others by emitting GN Particles to cover a small area around her and anyone within close proximity, allowing them to hopefully come to a mutual understanding of each other's thoughts and feelings. Strangely enough, this has a better effect on women. Her GN Particles can also cure various diseases if those afflicted remain within the field long enough.
