"Red Ring" Rico Tyrell, a famed scientist and Hunter aboard Pioneer 1, was sent down to Ragol to cultivate the land for settlement. During her research, however, her and the group of scientists and military members accompanying her found a sealed door. Figuring out the riddle of how to open it, they then did so, unknowingly awakening a creature sealed within. An entity of pure evil named Dark Falz. Dark Falz, being purely a consciousness, needed a host to inhabit in order to exist. Poor Rico was the unlucky person that was chosen. Upon being awakened, Dark Falz caused a massive explosion, wiping out the settlers on the surface of Ragol.on, however, a group of people named Hunters came down to Ragol to investigate the explosion, and, in doing so, discovered the location where Dark Falz was resurrected. Mustering their courage, the brave heroes slayed the newly resurrected Dark Falz, freeing Rico's soul. Rico's soul, however, did not ascend to Heaven. Instead, it was drawn into the chaotic maelstrom created by the Nexus and its many inhabitants, and given a new body. Now, she wanders the Nexus, seeking a way back home, armed with her wits, her famous red ring upon her wrist, and a series of weapons forged for her by her mentor, Heathcliff Flowen.
NOTE: Rico's contact with Dark Falz left a portion of the dark god within her soul, which she can call upon for a short, controlled burst as Dark Falz, manifesting its power.

When this form has sustained enough damage, it transforms.
While in these forms, Rico has access to all of Dark Falz's previous abilities, including high level fire, ice, light, and dark magic, as well as the ability to use a technique called "Divine Punishment" to call down several hundred rays of light to slay her enemies.
