A day in the life of...
Recette Lemongrass. The founder and owner of the item shop on top of the hill, Recettear! Young, kind and a bit of an air-head, Recette is a girl forced into working in order to repay the hefty debt left behind by her father, who disappeared whilst out on an adventure and who she hasn't heard from since. However, she is not alone in her endeavours. She has the help of her small, intelligent and stern partner, Tear, a fairy who oversees her progress and ensures she makes her regular payments as per their agreement.
In daily life, Recette is a girl who, whilst has a lot of responsibility on her plate, still remains to be a child at heart. She has an affinity for sweet things and candy and generally, finds herself 'influenced' by the appearance of cute and adorable things. That doesn't mean she'll just stock her store with such things, though. She's learned much about quality of metalwork and treasures in her time spent collecting, selling and purchasing them over time running Recettear.
Adventuring
One of the big parts of life for Recette at Recettear is hiring adventurers to go out to dungeons to hunt for treasure that she can later use to sell at the store in exchange for payment and safety. She usually receives cards from people who want to offer their work for her, but there might be some other ways of lending a hand, should someone like that come her way, of course.
