Rebecca comes from a world where people who can swallow others whole are actually pretty common, and them eating people is very much accepted. They aren't nearly as common as people who can't eat others, but since those who can have the option of eating up anyone who can't, the ones with that wonderful ability pretty much run things in every regard. Rebecca sadly was not born with such talents, but was lucky enough not to be turned into live stock.
