Growing up in a world where no one understands you is tough. Combine that with puberty, teenage angst and technology absorbed youth and it becomes a difficult task to find your place in the world. People turn to all manner of distractions to escape the malaise of life; drugs, drinking, sex and so on. For Rebecca, she turned to witchcraft.
In highschool, she found herself alienated by the other kids and was lumped in with the goth kids. She was happy for the friends and adopted their style, being introduced to witchcraft, at least in appearance. It would be after highschool that the girl actually acquired real power, finding a legitimate spellbook and a few sources online to acquire real spells.
Life began to change for the young woman. She cut out a comfortable living for herself. She found a purpose in life, furthering her power. The difficulty however, is finding spell components for her more powerful spells and the alchemy she dabbles in.
Rebecca leads a life of quiet isolation, selling art online and running a few other websites to keep income flowing in and allowing her the greatest amount of free time for her pursuit of witchcraft. The introvert never really kept up with her highschool friends, letting them fade to memories, and her self-isolation has left her social skills lacking. She is a bit bitchy and standoffish now, preferring to be left alone since no one understands her anymore and most would label her a freak.
