Rearios

Looking a bit like a grumpy Guss is, Rearios! But don't worry, he's actually pretty nice, like all Silvers are. For the most part.

Name: Rearios

Age: 2,500 years old. (This can vary from RP to RP)

Weight: Can be as light as 30 pounds. Or as heavy as his full 1,280,000! Remember, those scales might as well be actual silver.

Size:Stands at 25 feet tall,excluding his frills, and 45 feet long when sprawled out. His wingspan (Which yes, the dragon... is a little vain about) reaches to 60 feet. He could, technically, stack a few spells and be bigger buuut... he doesn't really have much interest to do so.

Classic powers of silver dragons, of course. Freezy breath, paralyze breath, etc. Magic and in heaps, from having lived so long.



Landing with a heavy, impressive thud, and pushing the earth like a meteor, the dust clears. Standing tall, and quite proud with eyes that appear to be liquid metal, is Rearios. His frills distend as he stretches from the impact, smiling through his beaked lips. "Tis a human? What news of the world, today, human?" he asks, lowering down in an excited stance, prepared to take on the world if need be.

Rearios is a bit of a special silver dragon. Not in body, mind you, where his scales have become so smooth that light reflects off of him like a suit of armor, the whole mess appearing that one living golem of metal has taken to the skies. But in his mind.

Rearios used to live within the constraints of Bellouse, where he watched over it's people, taking a human guise every now and then to help the humans and elves of it's land. He watched as humanity pushed back orcs, spiders, drow... every evil the world had to offer against them, humanity met it with a sword, and overcame. He watched as it's grip grew further and further... and held his breath when it began to faulter.

So it is now that he takes to travelling, when he isn't within his cave. And things have become... complicated. You see, to Rearios, a being born of naturally good tendencies, he feels the need to take responsibility for the humans below, who can't seem to get their shit together enough to realize what it is they're doing. Overextending. And every time something bad can go wrong, all eye's settle on Rearios's cave. It's a bit of a predicament... and he knows if it keeps going, this will surely end terribly for the humans. All of them.

But he isn't without a plan. No... to those little villages, that come under siege, he protects them. Eats pound after pound of orc and shatters goblin tribes with an icy breath. But then, some of those villages, had the gall to -demand- he push their expansion efforts forward, even further!

It took a long time of thinking, and questioning if he was wrong. Several tribes of otherwise pathetic and evil creatures were being stamped out for another's gain. But he did realize his love for the little humans below.

So he made them a deal... with a heavy price...

"Bring me a virgin maiden."

Every village was given this response to their greedy needs. "Bring me your finest woman of purest heart, and I shall eat her. And then I will do as you ask... only then, however."


RP Ideas~:
Swarms are cool with this character! Afterall, he's huge, and if need be, could grow double or triple the size. Of course, the swarms should be of typically evil or clan destine things. He finds the term 'shield dragon' endearing, and takes it quite literally.

Sacrifice!: You are the virgin brought before Rearios. Or tied up in the center of town, and left to wait for that huge thing in the distance to come and claim you. But he doesn't -always- kill the virgins... this can go in a number of ways, more commonly, take up residence and become part of the dragon, to keep him company in body and soul, or be devoured and digested, to feed the war machine.

An egg is you!: This one is a little bit special. Rearios wants a brood, but lacks a female dragon. So, upon the next visit of a maiden or adventurer, with a good heart, he offers them a chance to live for many lifetimes more then they ever -dreamed-. All while hosting a silver skin... you see... he can egg a person. The term is a bit crude but, essentially, his breath can splatter his soon to be hatchling with a slurry of mucus. The mucus curls the lover inside, and slowly changes them. All these changes are visible from the outside, until they're a pup, and the egg becomes completely silver. Egg hatches, and boom. You're a dragon~ Could also be half dragon, up to the victim. Can also be performed on evil creatures who swear to 'change their ways'. He'll make sure of that...

You gots an egg!: On your travels, on a cloudy day, you find an egg. Baby Rearios fell from his nest! :O Oh nuuuuu. Well you can't just leave it! Besides, it's starting to hatch, and while he's a pup... first thing he sees is his momma! This can go in many ways, of course. The loving pup is taken by his 'mother' until he starts to mature, where, after a vicious growth spurt from the size of a house cat to the size of a horse, his mommy better have bought a cow before hand... or perhaps the pair become endeared, and journey to do good. By sicking a dragon on it and watching him stuff his face.

A rider: When the big silver gets an offer to expand human borders, he only wants one thing, really. He wants to see humanity prove it is ready to do so. So, with an army mustered to push back evil, and a champion at it's head, Rearios forgoes his usual price of a virgin. But the hero or heroine gets curious... and asks if he may ride Rearios! Not usually a good idea with other dragon species, but, this one seems to be... interested, an allows it.


These are all just ideas, of course, and can be modified about a bit, as long as I feel it doesn't completely break the character. Please feel free to whisper.


Rearios sleeps his off time, in the Den_Of_Shadows. Don't touch the treasure though. Seriously.
