Long ago in the kingdom of Corona, there was a legendary magical flower known as the "Sundrop." It had extraordinary healing powers, unleashed by singing an incantation to the flower, causing it to glow. The witch, Mother Gothel, used this flower to prolong her own life and keep herself young and beautiful, singing to it every night.
However, one day, the Queen of Corona, Arianna, was gravely ill. Quickly, the flower was sought out and picked, ande made into a medicine for the queen to ingest. When her daughter, Rapunzel was born, she inherited the Sundrop's power in her long, golden locks. However, enraged at finding "her" flower stolen, Gothel kidnapped
the newborn, locking her away in a tower, never telling her the truth of her origins, as the witch was intent on making sure her little flower would behave and never try to escape..Longing for the outside world, she's fascinated by the floating lights that appear in the sky on her birthday every year..
