Ranavalona's life has long been intertwined with the arcane. Her mother enjoyed a rather lengthy run as a sort of provincial witch-queen, making a habit of treating her subjects harshly, using human lives cheaply, and traditionally receiving whatever she desired.

During her young life, Rana was raised with surprising affection by her mother, pampered and praised and attended by servants both mundane and magical. Her own affinity for arcane dealings was encouraged and she was surrounded with no shortage of magical implements and spectacular creatures and devices, giving her a thoroughly skewed idea of normality.

As happens with most all brutal and cruel rulers, though, it was only a matter of time before Rana's mother was overthrown. In her early adolescence, Rana was smuggled out of the little wilderness world her mother ruled with the aid of a pair of her mother's bound demonesses and delivered to a prominent city-state's institute for arcane studies. Given only a simple note to present to the dean and a collection of wondrous items interesting and valuable enough to legitimize her presence, she was admitted and permitted to reside on the institute's campus.

The following years of Rana's studies couldn't pass quickly enough for those around her. Terribly spoiled throughout her youth, she respected no authority, mostly doing as she pleased with the institute's resources and learning as she wished. Her failure to be expelled in spite of her poor behavior and rumors of all manner of terrible things being linked to her created quite the social controversy within the school, but action was never taken against her and she graduated along with the rest of her class.

For now, she's remained in the city. Institute graduates are nearly guaranteed prominent positions in places of power, and Rana has become comfortable as a local noblewoman's court mage, monitoring, working with, and investigating as necessary. It's not a terribly demanding job, and allows her enough wealth and free time to to be quite the socialite, delighting in fashions, parties, wine, and relatively irresponsible uses of her skills. She'll blindly teleport rather than walk too long a distance, summon extraplanar beings to do her laundry, trick and torment neighbors and strangers with illusions for her entertainment, and when certain old, dark urges strike, she'll find the right life to give to those who ensured her safety long ago, and continue to watch over her as her mother bade them.

Player note: I am personally into feet, footwear, and foot play, and will almost always lean in that direction if not urged elsewhere. Power play can take many enjoyable forms, but I will tend to prefer worship, crushing, trampling and the like when these subjects are mutually agreeable.
