Raff

Been a very long time since I popped on here...so here's the old profile. Probably getting revamped at at some point. Raff is one of a few hundred red wolves remaining in the world, and as far a she knows, one of only a handful of Red Wolf anthromorphs in the world. Native to the Appalachian region in the southeast USA, she was the result of a rescue after being hit by a car in eastern Tennessee when she was a year old.

In the labs at Oak Ridge, most famous for production of nuclear armaments, she was changed by science into her current form. Her intelligence was enhanced, and she was taught to speak. She has a bit of a southern drawl, an only natural throwback to her origins.

She was released after proving her sentience to a government board, and given citizen status. She volunteered for an experimental process at the labs working with the man that had been responsible for her recovery. She had information fed directly into her mind through a computer. As such, she can access a lot of book knowledge in a very short time, but due to her short life she has less practical experience. She has a very strong interest in martial arts, and spent some time training with the local army special forces in basic judo throws and self-defense. Some years later, she left the comforts of the southeast, and journeyed to Nexus Park, where had she heard others like her might be found.

Her paws are structured like human hands, but she retains the pads of her wolf heritage. She usually reverts to walking on all fours, but can walk erect. She stands about 4'8" standing erect and about 85 pounds, wears a copper bracelet around each foreleg, and a heavy cold steel ring near the base of her tail. This ring, laser-etched with a bar code and a number etched into it, can only be noticed with very close examination...her fur covers it well. She wears a pair of silver hoop earrings in each ear, rather than show the holes left from when she was tagged in her youth. She does not usually wear any clothing, thinking it unneeded with her heavy fur...besides, it itches! She's very self conscious about her tummy...it looks fine, but she doesn't like being touched there by anyone. She usually wears a canine hiking pack to carry essentials with her, or has it stashed nearby. Her eyes are gold-brown, and like all canids, have a tendency to glow in low light.

She is a cautious predator. She enjoys a good bloody kill, but as a now sentient creature can also enjoy simply swallowing down smaller prey. She has an aversion to eating other wolves or humans, due to being saved by humans and her knowledge of the fading of her species.

She was given a gift by Sam_Cupcakes, a gorgeous moonstone. She had it set in an intricate copper band, and wears it as a choker. Thanks Sam!

She's pretty easygoing. She doesn't care for scat play, but natural processes do make poo...watersports are a definite no. Ask...she might try something!

As a rule, she does not eat other wolves, or humans. She's tried a fox or three, and they're OK, but she certainly prefers prey animals.
