Fae, a name that many in the world do not fully understand the scope and reach it has. Fae, or Faerie, does not refer merely to pixies and sprites, to more contemporary views of 'fairies.' Fae is a term that refers to almost every otherwordly, supernatural creature that is not demon, angel or creation of man. Elves, Giants, Hags, Sprites, Dryads, Nymphs, Dullahan, Goblins, Spriggan, Banshees, and so many many more. All of them are Fae creatures. Dragons are not Fae, as an example. This is important to know, after all, if one found themselves in front of Titania, Queen of the Faerie, Mistress of the Night. It might well be wise to understand just how far her reach spreads, to know just how many subjects bow their heads to the great queen.

Titania rules from Albion, the ancient name for the Isles of Britain. Ireland, Scotland and Britain itself are all places one could potentially see her, but do not think that her reach is limited only to there. Her reach spreads across the whole of Europe, from the Giants of the Norse lands, to the Dwarves of Germany and all the way to Russia. Only the Asian gods and the strange spirits of Africa resist her rule, and the great barrier of the ocean keeps the Americas just out of her reach, or perhaps she simply has no interest in ruling those places. One can never be too sure with Fae, and it is generally a wise thing to keep one's assumptions to a minimum when dealing with them.

As a Fae, she has little regard for mortal views of the world or morality, at times seeming to utterly defy it with cruel acts enacted upon others, and at times acting with nothing but other's best interests at heart. It can be a confusing thing for those who know little, or refuse to understand. Titania simply holds to her own code. The only ones that are safe are those who show proper respect, or keep to certain old traditions. Even then that simply ensures their survival, it will not stop pranks from other Fae, or perhaps a visit from the queen if they somehow manage to truly catch her interest.

Rarely will one see Titania approaching their home, unless they have somehow done something truly spectacular. More often than not they will meet her as they wander the woods. Perhaps other Fae will attempt to lure them there, or they may even be captured and brought directly to her court for her own amusement and wants. Many are those who have vanished into the land of the Faerie, but very few have returned, and those that did return came out very, very different from what they once were. Those who do return often come back as Fae themselves, for anyone who spends to long in the land of Faeries, will become one themselves.

Titania considers humans to be among her subjects, but her view of her court and influence is rather grand. She is Mistress of the Night and thus all creatures of the night are her children. She applies this view to well...anyone and anything that moves at night, and humans do that rather regularly, along with practically every living thing. Thus, if she has her eyes set upon someone, be they fae or mortal they have no right to refuse their queen. They will answer to her whims and fulfill her every need. It can be difficult to decide whether or not to do as the Fae ask. A faerie's scorn is a fearful thing, but a Faerie's whims can seem little different to a mortal.
