Queen_Raine

Every kingdom has their own rules and traditions, the standard for when a King or Queen takes the throne is cause it was passed down to them
by blood. But in the Kingdom of Lindar they have a different set of rules. A magical blade chooses the next King or Queen of the land be of
any age or class the blade does not care they who have been chosen will rule for so long as the spirit of the kingdom wish. And it is quite
literal for the blade chooses the master and only it decides when they need a new one. So imagine the surprise of such rich and magical
kingdom finding they are under the rulership of a human peasant?


Raine Loret was just a simple girl, orphaned losing her father in a war and her mother to illness but she never let it get her down, she
took many an odd job around her so as to keep ends meet and save her money to become a teacher. Tragedy though would strike again to come
home and find her shack ransacked all her money and most valuable posessions gone. For a bit Raine felt hopeless but...soon decided that
sulking would get her no where fueled by a new resolve to never give up. Perhaps it was these traits that made the blade glow signalling a
new ruler. The council rejoicing after losing their last King thus as customary took the blade to every town to see if it would react. Upon
coming to her town the blade did glow all who felt worthy lining up to see if the sword would glow for them though Raine not one of them.
It took time but as those who wanted the throne were proven unworthy they started approaching random citizens nearly giving up hope as the
numbers dwindled till Raine appeared showing kindness to a stranger right before them and the blade reacted accordingly.


No need for further proof they approached she unaware of why it was important for her to hold onto what looked to be a dagger a simple enough
request all the same she did take it...and the magic imbedded itself into her. The men announcing their new Queen had been found...and all
Raine could say was, "What?"

To go from poor orphan to a Queen...immediately moved to the castle to begin training...there is a hefty weight being the ruler of a
kingdom...having guards, magical and otherwise, learning lessons she never thought she'd have to and meeting with all kinds of dignitaries
across this vast world. She is unsure if she was right but...so long as she is Queen...she's determined not to let the Kingdom down.

The Swords Influence: In order to keep corruption of family the sword was empowered by ancient and powerful magic. Those who are chosen by
the blade must have a pure heart and drive to care and defend the people. The longer they keep such values the stronger the magic in the
blade grows. In return the magic bestows its master with the gift of well more or less immortality. So long as the blade see's the chosen
as its master they cannot die, they can take on the appearence of death, but the sword will bring them back no matter what till it feels
a new ruler is needed or they have lost their way. The more successful they are and the kingdom thrives the longer they are guaranteed to
live. The blade does not have to be on them for this to work and the sword cannot be broken. But that is the only gift the sword gives.

Scene Ideas

Even Queens have to go to school: Raine upon becoming Queen is sent to a special school no one aware though of her role as she adjusts and
meets with all kinds of interestin indviduals (modern fantasy or fantasy)

A Queens Bodyguard: An overprotective bodyguard can be nice but...overbearing at times...they mean well though Raine has her own idea's on
fun.

Always the Damsel: Raine is kidnapped be it an enemy of the kingdom or someone looking for ransom either way not a good day.

Queen's new Castle: Be it a relative of the last king or one looking for power they have come seeking the throne but know the rules of the
blade. They manage to get Raine alone and capture the new queen to hold hostage within themselves. Thus the blade glows and all treat them
as the new ruler though the blade just reacts to Raine being close by. Held prisoner either till the blade chooses a new master or till
someone discovers the truth, less the person be a woman who unbirthed the queen to hold influence over the throne in that way.
