...Y'know what? Kids are fuckin' cruel. Always eager to taunt and pick on other kids for just being even slightly different. Whether you like something different, wear glasses, have a "funny" name, or... are a tiny bit... 'bigger' than the other kids. This girl here fits neatly into the latter three categories, maybe even all of them depending on what she was into. Introducing herself simply as "Qiao" when asked, in her youth, despite her polite demeanor and eagerness to make friends, the girl found herself as the target of much ridicule. For starters, of course she'd come under fire for wearing glasses, being seen as a "nerd". But the biggest reason was more readily apparent. The girl really liked food. ...No, she LOVED food. During every break period, she was always stuffing some kind of delicious edibles into her mouth. She loved food so much, obviously it began to effect her waistline, giving her a large, lasting potbelly, which didn't seem to bother her... until a gang of bratty girls started making fun of her girth after she tried to befriend them. And it didn't stop there, they took every chance they could to antagonize her, every school day...
...Then one day, Qiao had had enough. Something in her snapped, and before she knew it, one of those bullies was being crammed down her throat! Then the others! Each of those girls disappeared into the round potbelly they mocked. After that day, the rest of her peers became a little wary around her. When those girls vanished, everyone assumed that Qiao had finally beat them up so badly they were sent to the hospital, or so the schoolyard rumor went. Thankfully no one knew the truth, but the myth of her "violent habits" had become stuck to her from that point on.
Nowadays, she's viewed as a delinquent, getting into fights and always causing trouble, feared by everyone around her. In reality, she's merely an aloof, somewhat distant young lady, always seen with a bit of a frown, and only violent when directly provoked, which usually happens as a result of her feeling a strong need to defend others from bullies and hecklers. She's also gotten a bit stronger physically compared to her younger days, which helps add to her 'terrifying' legend. She still loves food, probably the one time she ever smiles these days, and she's still got that potbelly. It's become a bit of a notable feature of hers.
...Come to think of it, since she's so isolated, and has all but given up on making any real friends, the girl kinda needed something to cope. Sooo... she made friends with her stomach. She calls it "Masaki", and tends to treat it- er, treat "her" like a sentient being. ...Even if every time she talks, it's just Qiao doing a decent ventriloquist act...
So, are you going to run away from the monstrous strength of this roughneck? Or are you going to take a chance and try to get to know this lass who's all but given up on making friends?
