But now she's dead.
Conrad found a way to cancel out her luck. He even kept her torn off tail as a trophy. Used to be she was unstoppable. Now she's nothing. PERMAVORED

The thing about Qaya is she has a gift. She is truly inhumanly lucky. No, like actually supernaturally so. You shoot at her point blank, you may be the best shot in the world but you'll miss. Luck favors her.
Qaya of course uses this amazing gift. She has won the lottery the first time she tried, got a mansion at an amazing sale that happened to be right where she needed it, and decided to eat people. The mouse doesn't even have to hunt. She can just walk around wanting a meal and someone will happen in reach.
Which is nice, but eventually Qaya reached a problem her luck couldn't solve. She was bored of winning.
The mouse was sick of getting her way with no effort. Her superhuman luck can't make a challenge for her without giving a random happen chance way to instantly overcome it. Qaya longs above all else...
