Maraline Cobalt a.k.a. the infamous villain 'Psyke' ( Pronounation: psy key ) isn't too hard to relate to in terms of understanding her troubles and strife. It's perfectly reasonable for someone with her upbringing to be a bit mentally troubled, wouldn't you think? Imagine for a moment the unbringing, born 'different' in that your mental faculties were far more advanced than everyone elses. So much so that by the time you were four years old you could start to... Hear voices. At the time not quite realizing they were other people's thoughts. And the complaints given to dear ol' mother only pressured and pushed her into doing what any reasonable parent would do. Have you entered into a psych ward. For 10 years. Medicated. Degraded. Kept mindlessly numb from reality so you wouldn't babble on and on about everyone's voices in your head. To not seem 'insane' any more. That was Maraline's plighto live out day in and day out. But remember, Maraline is smarter than others. Much smarter, even if drugged up on powerful anti-psychotics. Allowing her to start neglecting the medication, to start spitting it out or feigning its consumption altogether. To build a hatred and refine it as the time went by, to fight back at the voices in her head. To start wondering how she could shut them up... And eventually, she found out how.

The first victims were other patients at the mental hospital. So easy to break their already fractured minds, exploding her commanding voice into their thoughts until they'd go silent of thought. Nothing left but her voice. Her commands. Her thoughts. The creation of a villainess was upon the world! From those few patients around her to eventually the medical staff and finally dear ol' mother upon one of her visits to see Maraline. And as effortless as she had claimed all of them as lackeys, so too did she condemn them all to stop breathing in her pent-up, decade long anger. The investigation upon the mass deaths at the mental hospital chocked it up to an unknown chemical hemorrhaging everyone's brains. So many deaths, that no one seemed to notice one name off the list of the deceased. A woman reborn!

A brief side note. She is almost always seen toting around her stuffed rat toy, Mr. Satimayer. Due to her abilities, she tends to use it as a weapon. Sounds weird? You betcha.
