Protean

"Love forever, love is free."

There's no worth to a weapon that won't kill on command. At least, that's what the government that created Project Protean believed when he refused to execute captured prisoners for his 'testing phase', despite exhibiting the physical capability and capacity to do such. Genetically and cybernetically modified to absorb energy sources, particularly electricity and radiation, and transform said energy into kinetic force, Protean had a lot of potential to be his country's next super weapon. What's more, his modifications would allow him to survive in high-radiation environments and slowly reverse the effects, while having positive effects on his body's structure. In fact, until the discovery of what he could really do with the energy, he was to be the first of a line of 'Protean' beings created for this beneficial purpose. But, hey, military applications.

Protean is the only name he's ever known, and he's grown to like it. He's slender and androgynous, sporting long black hair, dark eyes, and a Northern European accent. It's difficult to determine the exact nature of his vocal structure, but this was done intentionally in case he ever did get out; it would be one less thing to tie him to his country of origin. Or, more specifically, the region. He has the capabilities of a human with military training. It's when he comes into contact with electricity, radiation, or other energy sources that he becomes more dangerous, at which point his speed and muscular strength and density increase dramatically for short periods of time. Not that you'd really be able to tell things from short-term contact with him.

He's actually quite peaceful, if not a bit lyrical. He loves music, and the concept of loving others rather than fighting. This was embedded in him by his original 'creator' as a bit of a fail-safe, to preserve the original life-giving integrity of his work. However, this fail-safe has led to quite a few situations where he's ended up on the worse end of a 'eat or be eaten' scenario.

Oh, yeah. The reason that multiple military powers aren't after him? He vanished. In reality, even he doesn't exactly know how he appeared in the Park, or how, when he's taken from it, he keeps ending up back in it. He's learned its customs, and apparently is capable of vore (though he seems rather reserved about it). He finds this place fascinating, however, and oddly peaceful compared to the world he left...
