TLDR
Following the disappearance of the king and queen of Cloudfall under suspicious circumstances, the acting steward has forced Princess Ruby to conform to a life of strict rules. Her tomboyish tendencies are now forbidden in favor of behaviors more "princess-like". The steward claims that he is acting in Ruby's best interest so that he can arrange a prosperous marriage for her, but Ruby knows that the truth is that he's trying to get rid of her so that she stops raising suspicions that he is responsible for her parents' disappearance. If he isn't able to marry her off to a faraway nobleman in exchange for a bountiful dowry then who knows what other "tragic accident" might take place around the damsel! Will you try to rescue the damsel? To woo her? Or perhaps, devour her?

In the faraway fantasy kingdom of Cloudfall, you will most certainly have heard of Princess Ruby, the eldest child of the king and queen. Regarded as strongwilled, outspoken and a freespirit, she grew up as an only child. The fact that she was unrefined and not very "princess-like" was permitted by her parents, as they did not want to make her change when there wasn't a real need for it. The laws and traditions of the kingdom did not permit a woman to rule, and though her parents were kind-hearted rulers, they had no intentions of changing that law. Since Ruby would never be allowed to rule, they saw no reason to stifle her true nature and allowed her to grow up as the tomboy that she was. She spent her days exploring the castle and surrounding countryside, learning archery and horseback riding.

The king and queen loved their daughter, but naturally they longed for a son who would be the heir to the throne. They would have to wait many long years before that prayer was answered though, but eventually it was. Just a few months after Ruby's 18th birthday, her brother, Obsidian, was born. Ruby loves her baby brother unconditionally, but there is no denying that his birth marked a major change in her life.

Tragically, the king and queen went missing one day while out on a pleasure ride in their carriage. The carriage was found washed away downriver, but no bodies were recovered. The king and queen and all the servants and guards who had accompanied them are presumed dead, though no one knows exactly what happened to them. Some presume it was simply an accident, where perhaps a horse became frightened and the carriage careened into the river, and everyone subsequently drowned. Most others though suspect it was an assassination, and the river was only a convenient place to cover it up. Ruby is one of those people.

Regardless, young King Obsidian I ascended to the throne at the tender age of 7 months. Obviously he was not capable of actually ruling, so the rulership of the kingdom passed to the royal steward, a man named Garth. Ruby had never been fond of Garth, as he was a gnarled old man who cast leering glances at her when he thought she couldn't see. She long suspected that he lusted for the throne and perhaps more, but her parents dismissed her concerns since Garth and his family had been loyal servants to the royal family for generations.

With the steward ruling the kingdom though, Ruby's days as the tomboyish princess of her youth came to an abrupt end. He forbade her to participate in any activity that he deemed "unbecoming of a princess". He declared that she would soon be wed to a worthy suitor and has entertained dozens of would-be husbands for her. He even had a royal decree proclaimed, renaming the princess as Ruby the Fair and Fertile Virgin! Garth doesn't want her to be damaged, less that devalue her dowry, so he has forbid her from any more adventures. She was confined to staying within the castle walls, never more than an arm's reach away from her attendants. He declared that it was for her own protection, but she believes it is because he knows that she suspects him of being involved in her parents' disappearance and he just wants to get rid of her too.

So Ruby is a prisoner in her own castle, not permitted to be herself, or even to speak her mind. She worries about what fate will befall her now that the steward is plotting out a new course for her life. The next chapter of her story is yet to be written!

TALES OF LIGHT
*Ruby hired Fiona_Faststride to smuggle her out of the castle but did not fully realize what she was signing up for! The centaur bore her out in her ballsac, essentially holding her as a third testicle! She was held there for days, with Fiona enjoying the princess as a toy. But as time went on she grew fond of Ruby and decided she wanted to keep her intact. So she eventually released her and decided to mark her as her own and mate with her! {ball vore; unbirth; teasing; domination; territorial marking}

*For reasons yet to be explained, Hannah_Kini appeared in Cloudfall via a magic portal of some sort. She was arrested under charges of being a witch thanks to her strange clothing and manner of speaking and thrown into the dungeon, but kind-hearted Ruby met her there and could tell she was harmless. She got her a job at the castle as a maid before deciding to make her her personal attendant. (Scene is ongoing!) {wholesome; adventure; romance}


TALES OF DARKNESS
*Agents from the Holy Order of Sacred Chains kidnapped Ruby from the castle and brought her to Bondsvestal_Veluca who has started the process of breaking the princess's body and spirit. (Scene is ongoing!) {kidnapping; enslavement}
