These two ladies are part of a kingdom constantly under attack by many things from enemy armies to demons or things like sorcerors.

Each of them is part of the Kingdom, The Blonde woman is the Ruling Princess Itasis of the kingdom of Luvania she is a rather kind ruler but almost loathes all men though mostly due to the events sometimes caused by invading forces, usually male barbarian hordes, Demonic Men or some perverted Sorceror trying to take her for they're own while the kingdom is a bonus.

The Black haired woman is the Head of the Luvania Paladin Feminine Knights. Known simply as Maria she is usually tasked with protecting Itasis, with various degrees of success, she is skilled in the sword arts as well as healing and some Holy Spells.

The Pair are rather close friends, Maria's mother and grandmother and onward have protected the rulers of the Luvania Royal Family many times in the past, Maria is the first to form a real attachment of friendship with the ruling member as she and Itasis have played together during they're childhoods, Maria has fought and bled and worse for her friend and princess but usually ends up in danger from perverted men and monsters.
