Calming the Moon

Among several villages every time the moon was full their village would be flooded, carrying away babies, elderly, and the ill with the wild rapids. Those who have been awake to witness these events would describe the water being thousands of foxes trampling through the town as if hunting in such large packs. The villages decided to band together, trying their best with priests, monks, and shamans to put a stop to these beasts every full moon, but nothing succeeded. A band of traveling monks though offered to find a solution, but it would come at the greatest cost the land would ever know. The villages begged the monks to save them and their land, easily overthrowing the lord of their region and kidnapping his daughter to begin the sacrifice.

Princess Davina was gagged and bound, struggling to get free from her binds while a ceremony was being held as to "sacrifice" her to the beasts, but what they did not know was the princess was blessed with the ability to speak with these spirits. She learned about these traveling monks and how they tormented the spirits into doing their will to damage the towns and snatch away spiritual powers as well as lovely maidens like herself. Davina did the best she could in the situation she was in, only to still absorb the foxes becoming a nine tailed kitsune. When the monks thought she was spiritually sedated they drew close to her, only to be snatched by a tail and eaten one by one.

With her body adapting to the newfound powers, Davina ruled over the regions her father controlled with compassion and understanding for both spirits and humans alike. Many beings have tempted to vanquish her, but none have succeeded. She did her best to be kind to others, even taking care of the human sacrifices she was given. It soon became apparent that with her differences that the people would only fear her. She took it upon herself to lock herself away only if the villages took it upon themselves to make her a temple and care for it. With the greatest haste she soon had a temple to herself, seeing shrine keepers clean it every month or so when travel was safe to visit her upon the mountain top. With time her temple seemed to be abandoned leaving her there with the spirits to care for her and to teach her of the world below her.

The Princess' Pastimes

Davina is eons old, and has lived through several social advances, but has a hard time grasping new items if she leaves the temple. She is ever curious, but is also ever so cunning for being a hermit. She has tricked people, being a habit she picked up from the foxes she absorbed. She is for the most part playful and cheery, but Davina is all for being mischievous from time to time to get what she wants, this includes eating people. She enjoys swallowing her food whole, especially if it is living just so it can squirm inside of her since the incident. She doesn't terrorize others, but if banished she returns right at the temple, but it takes powerful spellcraft to push her back since she has a physical form without possessing others.

Davina also enjoys teasing beings if her hunger is quelled. It might be sexual, mental, or physical teasing, but nonetheless she gets a thrill from human interaction. The biggest thing she loves to do is have sex, since she constantly turns into a virgin. She loves trying new things, touching people, and going out once in a while, but with the temple in the condition it is in she is slowly repairing it to its wonderful luster and care for herself and the spirits who help her.
