Or more accurately known as The Prey Traders Association, TPTA for short.
(i know what you're thinking, it's not that. This profile will be update and possibly reworded down the line.)
The TPTA is, as you can most likely guess, an association that deals with the collection and distribution of prey. This can be any prey that is sought by because of their race, their attributes, or prey that simply meets the requirements that someone requests. Humans, Demis, Anthros, all of them and more can become targets at a moment's notice.
The TPTA's methods and activities -despite how people are able to pick up a snack just by walking along the street- are considered to be illegal, thus they will only do business with those who are most trustworthy. Contracts, deposits, equivalent exchange, they have ways to ensure what they do doesn't get out to the wrong people, should anyone try to break these contracts and/or ruin the association, well... Let's just say I hope you taste good. Even though the association is mostly kept secret, it has plenty of members everywhere. Traders among the police, traders who are also doctors, nurses, builders, you name it, they're there in secret and will not let anyone get in their way. They're always watching. Waiting. Their prey will not escape them.
As for where they're based, they have secret locations scattered around everywhere: Hidden under museums. Secret rooms in market places. Warehouses. Apartment complexes. You get the picture. What the traders do to get their prey is up to them, what they do with their prey is up to them. So long as they don't break their contracts or leave loose ends that can be traced back to the association, they have nothing to worry about.
You may think that every member of the association is someone who catches their own prey to sell/trade, not true. There are many members of the association who are simple buyers, attending TPTA auctions and requesting prey of certain criteria. Business men for example, in fact, they're one of the most common buyers at auctions. Once someone has made a purchase that prey is all theirs to do with as they please, they could even request a predator to put on a show in consuming their prey... anything so long as they have the money.
