It began with a fascination with chickens and how they could reproduce without the pain of childbirth like mammals. A curiosity that would lead to a desire to replicate the process within humans; too bad the experiment went horribly wrong and now she was paying the price. No matter how perfect she attempted to be, she was terrible at precision. A curse that has plagued her for years and because of this incident, Rin Tohsaka resigned as an active practioner of thaumaturgy.

Rin Tohsaka is not a girl known for her honesty as she often complains about her 'pregnancies' to those that will listen. The truth of the matter is, she has grown fond of it in a sense even if holding all of those eggs inside makes it a pain to walk sometimes. Normally it only takes her a few weeks to lay a clutch of eggs but sometimes she will hold on to them for longer until she can't hold them anymore. Maybe after years of growing up being an egg factory, she grew used to the fact of being 'pregnant' and has considered it her natural state.

Eggs are a mainstay in her diet. These are the very same eggs that she plops out often. They become nothing more but omelettes and sandwich stuffers among other egg-related dishes. While she could theoretically incubate an egg to produce a child, Rin speculates it would be little more than a clone of her that she would be giving birth to. Without a surrogate willing to hold the egg within them during the incubation period, she'd rather just eat the eggs than let them go to waste.
