Regional Map
The Ciaiti Region is not much of a region. It's a place that most people rarely think of and when they do, it's usually because of
something on the Radio or on TV, rather than anything they've ever visited. Ciaiti can best be described as a 'Ranger Region' where the
population is strictly controlled and the vast majority of the region is untamed, unsettled
wildlands. Hence the region's
nickname. The Wildlands fill an important environmental niche, making sure that humanity does not settle too far, and leave plenty of
wide, vast spaces for pokemon to thrive, grow and live untamed and unfettered. As a result of this, the Ciaiti region is exceedingly
dangerous with powerful pokemon being the norm. In order to enter the region as anything but a temporary worker in one of its
five towns, one has to prove that they're capable. It's a popular place to visit for champions, former champions, and members
of various Elite 4 Leagues. Which should give an indication of the level of challenge within.
The Rangers aren't even pokemon trainers themselves, but use specialized tools to essentially 'persuade' pokemon to assist them and
leave them in peace. They are constantly fighting against poachers, and dumb trespassers, and the region is often a popular place for
criminals to flee hoping to hide in the endless wilds to avoid the ramifications of their actions. As a result the rangers are pretty
hard assed when it comes to strangers, and even someone there with a perfectly valid reason, be it research, or authorized for their
own personal safari or vacation home, it can be quite strict.
