A young man who fortune just seemed to smile on.

His father was a lord who ruled over a large trading port that was also on the main road to the emperor's capitol so when the poets and the minstrels say 'the city was built of gold and silver' they may not be literall but they aren't kidding either.

Well his father knew how to bring in the money. He paved the roads so they were easy to travel, posted guards and sent regular patrols for miles, imposed new taxes that increased revenue while not detering business and just sat back. The merchants poured into the city from all over the world selling anything and everything! Furs, cloth, spices, animals, weapons and slaves.

His father went on to expand his income by purchasing the local stables, inn, blacksmith and harem guild so he was almost as much money as the emperor himself! So the big question now is what to do with it all? Well he expanded his palace, recruited a professional army, built roads, a ship-yard and a bunch of other stuff and still he had more money to throw around.

Now enter his son who enherited this emence fortune and the powerful money making machine that created it. So now he has the same problem his father did, all the money in the world and nothing to do with it.

Well one day one of the emperor's officials stopped by on his way to the capitol and being a royal official stayed in the palace. They ate and talked and passed the time, during which time the traveler boasted about how vast and exotic his harem was back home.

That is when it struck him! He would use his vast fortune to collect rare and exotic treasures to decorate his palace and share his bed at night. He sent out his people to search the land for the rarest and most exotic slaves for his harem hoping to out do the emperor himself.
